Float n' Grow

Have you ever used these for seedlings? they are designed to be used in hydro/aero systems once the seeds growing.... they came highly recomended, they dont break down like a jiffy pellet would.. but what i am finding is the plant grows abnormally slow.... just wondering if you have experienced the same..
