Fliccin' a bic in the dark?

My partner's been growing for a year or so and recently had 2 of 9 plants in his flower chamber start re-vegging. They were right at harvest so no loss, but he thinks it was because he reached in there during the dark cycle and flicked a bic to show off his crop to a friend. The 2 that started leaf production were the closest to the brief light.

I'm not disputing his theory, shit, he grows some good bud! Just throwing it out there for discussion .....

Thats crazy I always take pics when lights are out.

Really? I actually have an alarm that sounds 1 min before lights out and I walk over and take some pics right as light turns off so I don't stress them that much. No issues? I may try this :D

No no issues at all .. I even take my plants out of the grow room set them on a separate bucket when I do res changes or top off sometimes for 20 -45 min doesnt bother them one bit..

Everything i have heard is anything more than 1 candle-foot of light can cause reveg. 1 lighter must be pretty close to a candle, so if he got it real close than maybe, but late in flower it seems to take more.

ive had plants in dim light countless times during flower for one reason or another, pics, friends, never a prob here. peace

Can you please show evidence of this some research, maybe a discussion? find it very hard to believe this.

Even in nature, there are too many occurrences of plants receiving light during their dark period.
On a full moon, you can see pretty well outside without having any light, so I think the whole idea
of LEDs on electronics, and peeking into your room for a short period, wont actually do any harm.
The plant likes intense amounts of light and if grown under proper lighting they will definitely be able
to tell when to wake up, and when not to.

I've been struggling to reveg a Blueberry Kush for almost a month. She has lots of new white pistils, but no new leaves.

Well if BH can take pics in the dark with no harm, I think my buddy's on the wrong track for why 2 of his plants re-vegged. I may not even tell him tho. Shit! Did I mention he grows some good bud?
