Flavoring Budding Plant During Watering

Read something about someone wanting to try this idea once. The idea was the get one of those Pure flavor extracts like lemon for example, and mixing a little bit of it in your water when you water the flowering plant for the last like week or 2. Obviously not a whole bottle since its a concentrate but enough to add flavor to the bud. But then I was thinking wouldnt the alcohol in the extract affect the growing plant? especially if youre going organicly.

So then I got to thinking that Snow Cone Syrup would be a better choice because its more like molasses and doesnt have alcohol in it. Also with the sugars in the syrup it would get carbs just like with molasses

Whats your guys thoughts on both the extract and syrup. Thanks

Gross, nothing you can really do to chance the flavour of the bud your growing. Just grow it right, and it will give you its natural flavour.

If you want some kind of pot that is fruity, buy a strain that has a fruity smell/taste, dont try and change the taste.

Neat Idea. I've thought about trying this myself.
I would love to hear if this has any effect.
I cant imagine this would "screw up a good thing" or "is Gross" not by a long shot.
Try it and see ! :O)

I tryed it.

I took a cotton ball, douced it in strawberry syrup, stuck it in a jar with about an eighth of my last harvest just to see how it would work.

The truth is, it smelled delicious, and tasted alright but it did make the smoke harsh. It's one of those things I wouldnt smoke everyday, ya know? But good every now and then deff :bigjoint:

Flavoring Budding Plant During Watering DURING WATERING has nothing to do with cotton balls.

Dick. I realised it after I posted this.

honestly the only real way to do it is too mix syrup with water and water your plant a HELL alot about a hour and a half before cutting it down. Would not suggest it though. Sounds hella harsh on your lungs.

And the reason being you couldnt do it a week or even a day before harvest is simple. Notice how tall these extracts have alchol. I have a vial of vanilla extract right now that has 35% alchol. The one you posted, lemon has a whoping 85%! It would start to kill your plant. So you'd have to do it an hour or two tops before harvest to not fuck up all your work and too keep the flavor in it while you harvest.

As said before it is not a "wives tale" it is infact very possible. The thing I'm wondering is why didn't you just look on google beofre coming here? I've found many of articles on this subject from a simple google search. If you'd like, I'll share them but what I'm telling you is the basic concept.

Wel to make a long story short i went to the local market and retrieved myself a bottle of srtawberry extract and could not wait for lights on to water..As you know this story doe'snt end well at all about a week later my leaves stared losing there luster they had no get up and grow to them i tried everything to revive them but nothing would help the plant lost its leaves and then just stopped growing leaving me with half finished homegrown..DONT DO IT let your buds be free..Peace

there is a new product that i am testing right now from botanicare which is called sweet. it is basically a carbo loader with magnesim and some other trace nutes in it. it comes in a few flavors, grape, berry, citrus and raw (which is unflavored). i got a small bottle of the grape and the raw and have been testing it on two plants of the same strain, height, age etc. i have not really noticed any differences in any smell between the two, but the carbs and micro nutes seem to be working just fine. i cant really say for certain whether it works or not yet, but i would think that using molasses would be just as good.

The alcohol was the reason I was going to stay away from the extracts and use a flavored snow cone syrup because its basically molasses with a flavor. Ill probably end up trying it. What can it hurt, its just a plant and if it goes bad just grow a new one.
