so lately ive been wondering how breeders favor bud. like blueberry etc. i know those ones are genetic

and i know im not gonna be able to do that but i wanted to do something without using tabacco flavoring. [cuz thats.....fuckin gay]

maybe adding something to the water during the last weeks of flowering?

or putting a lemon peel in the curing jar......

i dunno. anybody ever had any success? any more ideas?

Fresh pot leaf/ves . . . uncured moist little buds. Add to stash container to revitalize flavor/texture.

theres a couple threads about this. fdd started one about putting stalks in food coloring right after he cut them. it worked pretty well and gave some crazy looking bud but the food coloring ruined the bud. it looked great but when you smoked it tasted like shit because you were burning food coloring. then after that someone started a thread about trying to use different flavors in the same way and alot of great ideas were thrown out but there wasnt a real consensus on if it worked or not. also there is a proven method called honey curing. this is where you put the stalks in a bag of honey so that they honey gets sucked up into the bud. ill look for links in a sec and edit them in.

heres the links:
fdd's thread (color of my dreams): https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/9902-color-my-dreams.html
bzilem's thread (taste of my dreams): https://www.rollitup.org/harvesting-curing/73385-taste-my-dreams-idea.html

cant be asked to look for the honey curing. theres a link in one of those threads. also im sure you could search for it or something
hope this helps

Ive smelled the honey pot in which your talking, whether or not it was cured in honey i have no idea. Burned fine though and tasted like regular green.

On another hand, as far as adding flavor to your plant Ive tried an orange peel wrapped lightly around a fresh bud. That ended up tasting like orange but it was very very slight taste. Another thing you could try, is go to your local head shop and they have flavor drops there. Honestly IMO unless its a hydro setup im not sure how well flavoring would work. as anything you put in your dirt for fruit/food etc will rot = bugs. whereas hydro is liquid and your flavor would be directly absorbed into the roots. Then again, thats just my common sense saying this, havent actually done it myself.

ive heard bad things about the flavor drops(tasty puffs is the brand im refering to). basically how they work is you put drops on already dried and cured buds and let them dry again and they supposedly have the flavor but from what i hear its not very good. as for adding stuff to a hydro set up, the roots of plants are used as a filter system and most likely wont let any flavoring into the plant.

Do the peelings.

Adding bluberries, orange compost, lemon compost; none of these changed the smell or taste of the buds. It helped the soil, but did very little to flavor or taste.
