Five Weeks From Seed Into My First Grow.....How Am I Doing?? Thoughts?? Suggestions?

Hey all,

Firstly, thanks to all the kind folks who have given me such great advice and help thus far. While I struggled with a number of issues at the beginning, things seem (at least to me) that they are moving along quite nicely. I would love to get some feedback and hear what you have to say. Any advice, suggestion or good learning tips would be greatly appreciated.

My grow is 4 Liberty Haze. They are vegging under a 2 ft 8 bulb HO T5 light fixture. I am feeding them Floranova Grow and will switch to Floranova Bloom along with Liquid KoolBloom when I flip to flower. My grow space is a 2x2x5.5 grow tent. Here are some pics. Sorry that they're sideways.

The only thing I might mention, is make sure your lowest leaves don't sit in the wet soil.

@Chucky - I know. I try my best to keep the leaves off the floor but they keep falling down. My plants aren't very tall - hopefully that issue will take care of itself once the plant gets a bit more height.


@Aloe - If you look that the third picture, I've tied down the top stem. There are some really nice stems coming from underneath that are now exposed. Hopefully, this will redistribute the Auxins to these lower stems. Ther other plants are really bushy from the topping and FIMming. Not sure there is a need yet to start doing any training with them just yet. That said, I'll take another look and maybe reconsider.

hey if this is your first grow it looks a lot better than my first.
I didn't top or fim any of my first.....i was just excited to have them growing i guess.
but it looks pretty good. I think at this time I would start to LST and see how they react to it but i guess you are already getting that started in photo 3
i don't think you will have to worry about their hieght because they will definitely stretch a little when the flowering stage starts

Thanks. Yes, I am going to flower with the T5's. I know I won't get the same yield as I would with an HPS light - but sticking to the T5's for the full first grow. I am having enough trouble battling rising temps with T5's, so I don't want to make that a more difficult challenge. Anythoughts on how much longer I should veg before switching over to flower. I'm thinking another 2 maybe 3 weeks. Thanks!

If you are looking for bigger yields its always nice to veg more so 3 weeks
if you are going to do more training on them I would definitely say 3 weeks
but keep us posted on the yield with those T5's and good luck

I certainly will DSS. My hope is to get an ounce per plant. If I get that....I'll be very happy. If I get more.....RIU party at my house!!
