fist grow need a little advice

hi guys wats up gona set up my first grow room ,its a spare bedroom ive got and its about 12x8 ,would you guys think this is the right way to do it or not ,i waqs gona split the room and use one room for veg with a MH and the other half for the bud stage with hps both lights will be 600w ,do u think this would work ,i guess ill have to learn from experience but a little advice is always cool ..im gona try some of those lowryders ,was doing alot of research on them and they dont get so big which would suit me ,how many of these plants do you guys think i could grow in this area ...thanks guys

Yeah that would be cool. But make sure the two rooms are light sealed so your veg room does not interrupt the flowering room. make sure the lights dont burn the plants. You can paint it white or put up mylar for reflective surface. If you have a fire pit in your house get or make a carbon scrubber thing and just run it through the chimney. Have about 2 oscillating fans in each room, kitty cornered to each other blowing on the plants. or get a Co2 dispenser. For heat get hoods that have holes in them and then vent those into your chimney also. If your trying to hide it from people. put on 1 inch thick foam on the walls, then paint those to reduce noise, make it light tight. You can do this by taking peices of cardboard and covering the windows, and then putting them on the edges of the doors so they cover the cracks. Keep it CLEAN. Have everything you need wired and set up before you start the grow. Keep on reading more and more. If you have any issues come look on here or PM me and I can more than likely answer them.

Agreed, you have to be very careful here. There was a time when I thought an accident of a half hour here or there surly wouldnt make any difference....And I learned when I was pickin bananas from my buds.
You have to keep the light sealed when a room is not supposed to be getting any light. I was trying to do a perpetual grow for awhile and for me, keeping two distinct light schedules can be a pain in the ass at times. When I changed to vegging all at once and flowering all at once, things got significantly easier for me. I'm no expert by any stretch and early on, that helped me out by eliminating potential for mistakes.

thank you so much guys for all the advice and i agree about starting small i dont want to fuck up 40 or 50 good seeds .as its my first time growing i want to succeed to a certain point as im no expert im taking basic tips of here ,but i want to set up right now so i dont run into probs down the line ...so when i split the room up im gona basically have to rooms that measure 10x5 with a walk space in between when i open the door...so do u guys think that a 600w mh for veg and a 600w hps for budding is good for these spaces or should i use cfl lights for the veg part ....im sorry if i dont make sense im just starting of and am new here but thanks everyone for been so cool ....cheers from ireland

if your goin to block light on your window with cardboard ,paint it with black emulsion first., from a distance it just make the window look dark. btw theres an irsh growers thread in here and im sure your fellow countrymen would help you, probably get good info on wheres the best bit to buy stuff . theres a uk thread too with a good few scots and welsh in it....load of english lads too.....funnily enough there not as bad as you think....thosec light will be fine but you may consider putting two each in each chamber if you can afford it, and your temps are ok, it'll give you better light spread, btw what are you gonny be growing in? also best of luck

took me a minute to try and work out how large a 12 x 8 room is ......then i rememberd its the exact size of my old barlinnie jail cell.....good size for growing .....not too great to live in for long periods of time though. you could get an easy 30 in veg in a 6 x 8 space but u really will need more light id use 2 x 400 watts..

U can get three 600w in a space about 5x11 feet with a good extraction with no heat issues at all

oh yea i was gona go with lowryder plants not sure what strain yet as there are so many ...these guys dont get that big right....
