Fish On!

You are gonna laugh but that was my biggest ever. Nevef really targeted them before, usually just pike, maybe some gill fishing on the river in spring, caffishing if I get the itch to go at night, and usually get plenty of dogfish in the procesas of it all.
 
14 is a huge crappie, the way you said it, I thought that might not be your biggest....didn't get out...2013 is starting out rough here...one of the dogs dug a 3 foot hole a couple months ago n stepped in it Sunday morning...knee been giving me problems since.
 
Dang I didn't know it was a good one lol. Been a helluva week here too. Consumers energy "made an error" and I gogt a shutoff notice out of nowhere, and to top it off the bank gave me 2 counterfeit 50s. Said it was their fault, nothing they could do, happens regularly.
 
Last year we took the boat out this time of year, only got a smallmouth but was fun busting through the thin ice to get to where we fished.

I will post pics later. 6 keeper Walleye, biggest just over 20"
and one perch over 12" (it was 13").
Absolutely amazing trip, can't wait to head back in a few weeks!

5 walleye and 1 perch first evening. Biggest walleye was just over 20".
Pic with random fucker holding walleye was barely legal from the following day.
 
Haha holy shit, you could not have hit that spot better. That looks like us a day prior. If you found some old holes there that was me. Sad I couldn't make it out a day later. Nice fish.
 
We brought shiners from our part of town, for the tip-ups. Various jigging lures on poles. Hali's and Rapala lures.
 
Nice day on the ice!! I have t been N. Pike fishing since my Wisconsin days up in eagle river. Loved the Muskies up there too:!:

dude I used to go on vacation to Eagle River in the 90's every summer, to Lost Lake. There are a million lakes named that around that Wis, but that was the one in ER. What a great place. I miss those days, got my first stinky pinky when I was a boy up there :hump:
