Fish On!

Just picked this fucker up. Threw insurance on the Ford. Might even put plates on it.
These pics are off craigslist, that's why there is hardly any snow.
Woman on phone said the shanties start at about 600 yards off shore. Ya, fuck a bunch of that. I'm hope to be ridin around checkin tip-ups.

Went out on the north end this morning from 7 to noon. Had prob 20 flags, out of that we landed 12 or so walleye and 2 pike with only walleye being over 15. Lost a pig jigging a wiggler, snapped off below the hole. Was fun even though we left with only one. You should have a fun time. The hot bite was between 9 and 11. Quite a shanty town in bergland.

Tuesday morning Belle's son started crying cuz I have a snowmobile trailer with no plates on it. Truck has plates a few years old. He just got his CDL and thinks if I get pulled over
and he is in the truck they will put him in prison and take his CDL. I postponed the cabin till next Thursday. Anyone want to go party up at Timber's Resort next week let's go.

I grabbed some cash, meds, and a change of clothes. I went to Ojibwa, Christmas, Brimley, the Soo, Hessel, St Ignace, and Manistique casinos.
The casinos appreciated that and decided to pitch in on a Frabill Excursion. Thanks guys.
January 17th and I still haven't been on the ice yet. :wall:
 
WTF you waiting for man.. don't feel bad I've only walked on water once this year, then it rained the next day and killed the ice. It's coming back though. :)
 
When he started his shit, I called the place and they said they have shacks for rent, but as I was dialing the number leaving for a few days
by myself and gambling was already making me happy. I will have a shack myself in a few days. I am trying to finagle my 25% off on the shanty.
I bought a strikemaster power auger a few months back. Carb needed to be re-built even though it damn near new. I took it to the shop and
he says the bottom screw is completely stripped out. He is trying to heli-coil it or trying something else. I am so glad I took it to a shop.
Then I'm all set.
 
If I have some time off work I'd def come out this week. My buddy is in front of the walleye lodge right now and had 15 flags this morning with 2 keepers. He ran out of bait already. Suckers and wigglers.
 
I watched Discovering monday with Mark Martin's Ice Fishing School out there. That looked really cool actually.
Were you out there at all when they were there?
 
Yes, we kind of stayed away from the madness tho. I have a nice weedbed gpsed from the summer so we've been fishing that with good success and we haven't had much company out there. If you'll be off the timbers, we fish off the walleye lodge and that's not far apart. The hot bite is early a.m. Till about 10 am then again from 330 pm to after dark. It was tough keeping up with flags during those hours. Make sure to get some wigglers to jig with, walleye and perch both are hitting on those. Suckers and big fatheads under tip ups.
 
The woman from Timbers just called to verify everything was good and let me know again about them having shanties available.
Friday the Jig It is on Bay de Noc here also. I won't be going though.
