Lake Erie is starting to catch fire Bolles Harbor baby. I will be going down to Oak Harbor, OH this weekend lots of Big Walleye.

Gus' wife says, oh ya! They're fishiing! Still lots of ice.
She then says they are using snowmobiles to get around.
I said, they getting stuck at all?

I haven't heard on any in the last day or two. lol.
I'm fucking doing it.
She said plenty of ice for another week or two! :shock: fuck.
I hope this isn't one of my 'stupid-er' thoughts.
I know where the perch are now though and the ocd shit just
won't let me not get out there and see. lmao
Plus I still have about 1/4 of that Jager bottle in my shanty pocket,
can't store that with 2 feet of snow still in my yard. That would certainly
be bad luck of some sorts.

In the Midwest but not North like you folks. Can't wait for that springtime bass fishing!! Inland reservoirs and farm ponds mostly. Wasn't much in the way of ice fishing this year.

Might get out for some crappie this weekend. I feel like I am just kind of hibernating..biding my time waiting for warm weather and fishing. Winter and icefishing was a blast this year, lots of great memories...Slayed the crappie and gills for a few limits and got tired of cleaning them LoL..but I am so ready for warm weather. We had already hit the river a few times this point last year.

Serious business. Discovering last week had a dude small mouth fishing on that river. First I heard of that and he was nailing em!

I seriously had a section of water no more than 100 yards long in the river by me. There was 20 shanties on superior in front of me and I've got 2 9 foot steelhead rods looking like an idiot haha. I swear I saw a fish though.

I am up in the air if I'm bringing my boat down. The weather doesn't look good for a smaller boat this upcoming week. I'll prob have to stick to the river.

Mammoth how big is your boat. Detroit River is a bit slow right now. If anyone ever needs a fishing report for Lake Erie, Detroit River or in Ohio waters for walleye let me know I will put you on fish. Same goes for Lake Michigan salmon I will get you on fish.

I got deep and wide 14 with a newer 25 hp. Bow mount and transom mount. My folks have had a boat at anchor point forever but it's not in yet. I used to fish the spring bite in maumee bay a lot. My boat is totally set up for big water, got a mast and big boards and it's coast guard approved. If I take it I was going to fish the turtle island area. Im going to be fishing the maumee river.

Brother I've been getting reports Ohio sucks right now. Turtle just may be ok Bolles Harbor has been picking up I still think we are a couple weeks from it catching fire. Good Luck and be safe out there.
