Day 1: Feb 3: Paper towel method in tupperware, 6.4 PH, 4pm. 5 G13 in one container, 1 shark attack, 1 sweet grapefruit in own containers, dark, warm. Put them in a drain box on heat mat with a towel over for darkness.
Day 2: Feb 4: Noon, SA and SG had sprouted, so planted all seeds in root riot. Didnt treat the riot cubes at all, just put seeds in the hole ¼ inch down and covered with a little piece of another cube. Lightly sprayed with 6.4 PH water/nutes. Kept the temp around 75 deg. And humidity stayed around 40-50%. Dark, warm, and a little airflow.
Day 3: Feb 5: SG broke through, shot up to an inch and first set of leaves were visible, could see SA getting close to the top, worried about the G13, no action. Turned on the florescents up top, started 18/6 cycle to try and coax the others out???? Lights out 11 pm, on @ 5 am.
Day 4: Feb 6: SA and SG growing nice, good stems and nice leaves coming out. Starting to see 4 out of 5 G13 breaking ground! Looks like one might have been lost in the learning process bummer. Got a few more CFLs to add to the mix, I feel like I might not be using enough light? Things look good for the first 2 though.
Day 5: Feb 7: I was right, 4 out of 5 G13 are above ground, looking really strong, trying to find a good way to maintain a good temperature level, staying around 77-83, up and down. Humidity has dropped to around 33%, kind of wondering if this is a bad sign, trying to find better advice online. Put the seed that isnt growing back into a tupperware, see if I can get it to sprout, might be too late. Well see tomorrow.
