been surfing for some time looking for the secrets to success. trying to post pics of my first volksgarden grow but when i click on the attachments file i get an error so is there some secret to attaching pics
Good day to all - i would like to share my first Volksgarden grow with everyone, though i am a little apprehensive about it cause i know from reading posts here that these units seem to create a lot of controversy. on one hand when you find something that rocks your world its hard not to want to tell people about it, on the other do i really want everyone to know now what i know. LA is a big place though so im not going to worry about the market.
i saw the volksgarden in a mag or two from the sensi seals guys. looked like we were going to have a front row seat for the show but they disappeared. maybe uncle sam has a thing about using the tools you learn on the dark side for the opposition and getting good press about it. who knows, but here's to you guys, and i hope you are all alright and safe.
i don't have a good cam but i may be getting one soon cause i think my financials are looking up. this is not a step by step grow show but an early shot and some finish shots. if it was a step by step it would be the most boring ass thing cause there really isnt much to it.
the volks is a new thing for me and i have in no way maxed the yield this time as you can see. not enough plants and turned them a bit too early, however the plants themselves are better yielding this time and they are one third the size. i also have no waste, and no B grade so no desert treats to make with the dregs, but that means it was all A grade cause everthing is a center but directly under the light.
this machine is genius! I grew this strain right before I got the wheel in a regular DWC garden. The final product was okay. And in time it looked better. However - the same strain in the volksgarden -perfect. It went from fluffy hazy in the DWC to OG Kush like density in the wheel. same exact plant. Hard nugs that were exactly what I wanted. Let's put it this way the collective I took it to (and it is the best collective in LA, ie the world) took one look at it and put it on it's top shelf because it was so frosty. Completely covered in trichomes. It looked like velvet. That means that this wheel turned out some of the best medicine in the world. Patients even went online on the weedtracker forums to talk about how awesome it was. So to answer questions about quality - yeah it improved that. Once I have the height, the nutes and the
genetics just right - this will be a beast of production. I will be satisfied with two pounds but I will be pushing for three. Oh what a fun game this is. It is a nice feeling to walk into a dispensary and have the owners treat you like a rockstar because of the obvious and hard to find quality that you are bringing them.
Oh and the work load is a joke. Aside from putting the clones in and chopping them out - the work is minimal. Once a week I change the water. That's it. The rest of the week I peek my head in to watch the show but there is no work involved. I don't prune, I don't mist, I just stare. That's not very hard. Anyone can stare. And even the drying process is easier. Because the plants are so short I can fit so many more into my drying cabinet and they aredone quicker - making the whole thing more efficient.
