Hey guys, so this has been my first try at gardening and so far so good. I am a day over 3 weeks into the flowering period so this journal won't be started from the beginng. Albeit I do have picture from the begining that I plan to post.
I got my little girl from a friend with a medical card, her picked her up as a clone back in December and I have been caring for her ever since. I began the process by dropping about $150 bucks on two 6" computer fans and their power supply, 6 2700k 23w CFL's, a 1/2" by 6" wooden board, power strip, light timer, thermometer, a rubbermaid, and an emergency blanket. I put all of this together inside of a broken half-stack amp I had lying around. I took the speakers out from the inside, used the wood board to section off a 6 inch area to one side that I would use for an intake, exhaust, and storage area for the timer, power supply etc. The mesh screens that were there for the speakers served as an exhaust and intake. Only half of the holes are open for air. The top speaker hole is used as an exhaust and the bottom as an intake. As for the lighting I used 3 light bulb to AC converters and plugged in light bulb spliters into these converters. I plugged the three coverters into a power strip so that I had a strip of 6 lights. I then covered the inside with cardboard and mylar.
I had the girl in veg until 3 weeks ago all the time using 2700k lights because I couldn't afford more lights; they worked perfectly anyways. I just recently added a 5500k and a 6500k lights on the sides of the 6 light strip.
Here are pictures of the setup as of today. A lot of light gets let out through the speaker screens but I'm not too worried about that since it is hidden in my closet.
