Impatience got the best of me so here we go. I'll be running 4 Holy grail kush from DNA and a Girl scout cookie freebie. I'm assuming its forum cut cookie but not sure. Its my first grow so any advice or comments are welcome. I put the seeds under a 40w incandescent bulb for heat in jiffy pellets.
The setup: 4x4 sun hut blackout tent, noctex zero ballast, Dominator XXXL 8in air cooled hood, Solis Tek 600w mh bulb, still deciding on what hps bulb to get, 5 gallon pots, organic soil and maybe some light Nectar for the gods nutes.

downloadfile.jpg Ordered these beans a few months back from Midweek Song and the GSC is one of their freebies. Dropped them on the 30th of Aug.20160901_054119.jpg Misted under the dome and lowered the light a touch to warm it up a little. Hope to see some helmets peaking out soon.....

I agree on the cookie, its like gg4. The name is better than the smoke. Things can get real trendy around here lol. It was a freebie so I tossed it in there to see what I get.

Well got impatient waiting to see sprouts so I went diggin. All 4 of the holy grail have popped and barely started to sprout. Nothing from the gsc yet. Tucked them all back in to their jiffy pellets and back into the tent. Should have sprouts in a day or so

Heres my link to my last couple runs bro

I used to run a fridge and organic but I soon tired of both and went full tent with a auto pot and coco coir setup with a 600w hps
The holy grail you're running is a different strain than mine. I looked it up. I'm running holy grail kush by DNA seeds. The one you have sounds fire too though. I'm making my way through your journal now. That's some impressive tree for a fridge grow! That northern lights kicked out some colas!!

Well I knew I would run into beginners blues, I just didnt know it was gonna be right at the beginning. My holy grail seeds cracked a few days ago but they haven't advanced any further than that. In a last attempt to keep these seeds I pulled them from their jiffy pellets and placed them in a wet paper towel and put them in a ziploc bag. I'm hoping to see some root growth in the next few days. If not I'll sadly have to scrap them and start some more seeds. I'm really hoping I get lucky and they bounce back because as I'm sure you all know seeds aren't cheap.

Probably should have left them alone, I think they were about to do their thing. You started them un-cracked and no water soak correct? If so, it' usually takes about 5-7 days to break ground (at least with a heat mat that's what it takes for me). I would have just removed some of the dirt on top of them, so there is only about a quarter inch (at most) on top of it, and kind of loosely packed. It ain't over by a long shot.

Yea just straight into the jiffy pellets, no soak. I don't have a heat mat but had an incandescent bulb over them that kept temps around 82-84. I'm probably messing with them too much then by what you're saying. Hopefully they don't get pissed and move along in the paper towel then

When you get em back in the jiffy's, don't let em dry out but don't keep them super saturated either. Make sure to lose the lid once they start breaking ground, or just keep the ones that haven't broke ground under a humidity dome. I like to use a pretty cheap and simple T5 for starting seeds, just a single 2' they are around only $20-$30 if I recall correctly. Best of luck.

Thanks for the advice! I have 2 clip on work light reflectors fitted with 2 60w CFLs each for when they sprout then when they are ready I have a 600w Solis tek mh bulb to veg under. I also have a 4' t8 that I could use with the CFL's before the mh just to build them up to the 600w

Grabbed a heat pad at the grow store today. Hoping that will help get things moving in the right direction. Got my pH pen and TDs pen dialed in as well as my nute bubbler set up. Also got my soil so I'm pretty much ready to go for these first few stages
