Not sure what the problem is now. I started out overwatering around day 5 and corrected that mistake. growth has been slow and steady but the first set of leaves are looking more and more like shit. Here are days 12-15. Feed 6.4pH water no nutes and the soil is a simple potting soil with an "ultra low dose" slow release fert added in. Im at a loss here. Is it possible the soil had fert in it already? The bag is a plain jane affair with no mention of nutes, simply states "organic matter."

you just answered your own question.. you said "and the soil is a simple potting soil with an "ultra low dose" slow release fert added in" than said "Is it possible the soil had fert in it already?"

it could be nute burn or it depends on how close your lights are as wel..

Lights are CFL and were about 1.5" away I just moved them to 3.5" a few minutes ago to see if that helps. Wasn't trying to answer my own question but it does seem possible right? Next time i'm looking for a potting soil that tells you what's in it.

try to go with good organic potting soil like fox farm stuff or roots or anything along that line. a good bag of potting soil is going to cost a little more but its well worth it.

you said you were over watering...with slow release fertilizer over watering means over feeding as well.

dont water them untill they are 1 step away from bone dry..canabis likes its feet to dry out a bit in between waterings.

leave em on till they fall off. if the new growth is looking good just be patient and let her grow.
