First of all, I would like to thank everyone on here for providing such an invaluable wealth of information. I have been lurking these rooms for a couple of months now and have built my room and successfully started my first plant with what I have learned here. Here is what I have going on: 6'x3.5'x4.5' closet with one 5 gal bucket with 2 air pumps and 2 stones. Lighting is a 135 watt Lighthouse hydro Blackstar (probably with added CFLs during bloom). The walls, ceiling, and floor are 5.5mm panda poly. I brought the ceiling down 2' to try and make most out of my vent system which is 2 50cfm bathroom fans. One of them is mounted on the lower part of the door pulling air in and the other is on the ceiling above the light venting out of the top of the door. I also have 2 6" clip fans moving air around the room. My girl was germinated on 6/23. She is OG kush that I got from my caretaker here in SoCal. I have smoked her siblings before and LOVED them. I am using General Hydroponics Flora with CaliMagic and h2o2 for clearing the water. I haven't decided on weather I want to mess with anything else during flower; although I have been leaning more towards keeping it simple. I have built a ScrOG net and plan to either ScrOG her or LST her into a nice little bush. I am a little concerned with how she has been looking since last night. Her leaves are curling up a little bit and they look a kind of twisted. It has gotten pretty hot in the room recently (88f at its worst with an average of 84f) and I am wondering if this is heat stress? She has not slowed down in growth at all. I mean, she is 10 days old and is already working on her second set of leaves! DWC is nuts. Anyways... the PH is always started at 5.5 and has climbed to 5.9 overnight, after every water change, but stabilizes there. I am using RO water with a base PPM of 32. I started giving her nutes yesterday. My solution includes the 3 part flora and CaliMagic at equal parts to a TDS of 70ppm and H2o2 a little less than directed. Did I start nutes too early or is the curling due to heat stress? Any help is more than appreciated. Thanks!

I went to check on my little friend this afternoon after moving the light up a few inches yesterday to see if the curling of the leaves was due to heat and, while she does not appear to gotten much better, she is still growing rather quickly. There is new foliage development as well as extensive root growth. I have not changed the nutes and the solution is still around 100ppm (70 nutes+30 starting ppm). The PH increased from 5.9-6.3 overnight and was brought back down to 5.5 this morning. Temps have been a nice 77-80. Does anyone have any comments/suggestions? Should I flush and start over with a lighter nute solution? I am a little worried I might be wrong about the heat stress. She is not as yellow as she looks in the pics. Camera is weird.

Got a better light to take pics with. Now you can see the color of the plant. Its not nearly as yellow as the other pics looked. The abnormal growth and curling are obvious in the new pics. The water has been around 80F, PH 5.6-6, and 100ppm. Ambient temps from 78F-84F. The light is 8-10 in. from the top of the plant and feels cool. What am I doing wrong? Any one else have some strange OG seedlings?

Hello everyone, time for an update...
My plant is growing rather well considering the early heat stress. It slowed down a little for a few days and recovered promptly. I am trying different ways of venting the room that the closet is in as I fell that my problem lies in the fact that I am exhausting into the same room I am pulling from..no wonder it got so hot. I am fairly certain that I have solved the problem, but only another + 90° day will tell. I fimmed it today and I think it looks proper. Maybe a little too short; but either way, new growth will sprout. Once the new growth is underway (and the plant clears the net pot), I will start LSTing her into a nice little bush. I will post pics a little later today.

LOTS of new growth since fimming. Tomorrow I plan to start LST. I can smell it through the door of the room that the closet is in. At first it was a kind of crisp lettuce-y smell, but now is ALL kush. That part of the house is going to get pretty funky during flowering so I think I will make a carbon filter I saw a DIY for on here. I got inlaws coming and shit.

So we are about a month into veg and looking great. I added some CFL side lighting in conjunction with my LST and am seeing excellent results. The lower growth is turning into the CFL while the canopy is focused on the Blackstar. I have finally have temps in the room under control and they stay between 77-80 at night and 80-82 during the day. I am following the GH feeding schedule and have been at full strength, mild veg for a few days now. CalMag a little less than directed. I plan on slowly working her (hopefully her) into the aggressive veg once my side branching reaches the canopy and I start my ScrOG. If she can handle it, of course. I have been checking for preflowers a few times a day, but nothing yet...I think. I see lots of stipules, but no pistils/calyxes or testakels. If anyone spots anything different, please, let me know.

Thanks for sharing! Im just starting a grow using the same lighting with a top drip system. Its nice to have another one to read thats the same lights. Hope I can do as well as it looks like you have..

Sorry not much to contribute as I probably know less than you lol but wanted to say thanks for sharing.

Yea, no problem. Nearly everything I have learned about hydroponics I picked up here. Just want to do my part and I am glad to see I am able to provide some insight. The Black star is pretty awesome. It is so bright that just being in the room with it makes everything look green when I come out. I started wearing sunglasses when looking after my plant 8) I keep it about 10-12 in from the top of the plant. Any closer seemed to stress mine out. Good luck on you grow. Are you starting a journal?

Ok, life has been throwing some curveballs my way and my Internet presence suffered quite a bit. Never the less, my grow is coming along nicely. My girl has blossomed into a beautiful young lady. Stretch got me as she added about 2 feet in about a week and a half. I really wish I had the pics but, alas, my phone/camera was a victim of recent events so I only have about the last week or so. I should have them up tomorrow. So this is how shit went: flipped her 8/1 after confirming female preflowers. Things went smoothly with changing my nutrient ratio to the GH transition to bloom ratio and then to flowering (3 part flora bloom, 2 part micro, 1 part flora grow). She started stretch about a week and a half into flower and then fucking exploded. She graciously stopped with about 3 inches of space left in adjustment of my light rig luckily. I left out a lot about how she was bonded and fimmed/topped that I plan to write up extensively at a near, but future date. Basicly I ended up 2 massive colas and a lot of side branching. I added some CFL side lighting and carbon filter. I could smell her from the street her 2nd week into flower. Aight, it's late and I need sleep. More to come.

So here are a couple pics from a couple of days ago. The first 2 are of side branch cola and the last is of the main 2 colas. she has really started bulking up in the past couple of days and plan to show and tell soon.
