Well heres the set up... one 400W MH bulb with 400W ballast and a cool air hood, all fox farm nutrients that are on the schedule, and the seed used now was some bag seed from some really good bud i picked up im using it just for trial and error considering this is my first grow at my new appt but i have this little plant started and just put a seed my friend got for free with his order called Dina deep sweet grapefruit or something of that nature but the seed is a fem so ill used that for legit purposes. also i forgot to mention im trying a little bit of an experiment where im spiraling the plant upwards with strings and rods of some type as the plant gets taller but im only doing this with the plant i already have started. feel free to give me any type of feedback!! ENJOY!!!

I would consider using a bit less than their recommended feeding schedules. I've noticed a number of people experiencing problems when adding their bottled stuff on top of the pre-fertilized soil blends. That's why they sell a flush.

Good luck!

If your using ocean forest don't even think of feeding the plant for 3 weeks that stuff is pretty hot.

no i use the PH down for my water with nutrients and yea i use quite a bit less than the schedule due to the face that i used it as how it said and it was buring the shit out of my plant if you can see the first set of leaves in the pics above but i did lower everything and it seems so far so good

ive also been brainstorming and came up with the idea of taking a foam cone from a local hobby lobby and placing it right in the pot and lsting it in a spiral around the cone after i do a complete circle around the pot

I'd add some pro-mix or perlite to it at about a 20-25% ratio as it does run a bit hot, and it will compact on you making it harder to water. For sure use less than the recommended dose, go with about 3/4 strength, and be sure to keep your pH up on feedings. Check run off. If you see it dipping, you know you aren't running it enough. I ran it at 6.7 and locked out. I'd also suggest putting some lime in the soil also, 2 TBS/gal to help keep it up and give a little extra cal/mag

Nice grow man! Hey man I had a problem using fox farm nutrients and I switched to advanced nutrients. The grow is 100 times better using Advanced nutrients. Take your time with your LST there is no rush. Work slowly to postion her right where you want her. You actually don't even need that foam your saying......Just drill a whole bunch of wholes around the top of the flower pot and use those holes to bring string threw and too tie your plant into that position. I have also noticed if you let her grow out some before you lst its even better because plant is little taller and better to work with when it comes to lst, but not too tall about a 12 inches in height is perfect, then LST becomes so easy.....keep up the grow. you have any questions or anything .....refer to my thread or just message me.....
FOX FARM SOIL IS FULL OF NUTRIENTS AND TENDS TO BURN THE BABIES A LITTLE. NO NUTRIENTS UNTIL THE FIRST 30 DAYS are over.....Then Feed her Fox Farm Nutrients...Follow the back of bottle....Just start below half and work your way until she is almost full strength.

I have to recommend hygrozime if you don't already got it. It'll help with the salt build up. Might want to consider mixing some plan water in the rotation as well. I can feed after 2 weeks plane water if i start low. You at least want to inoculate a couple times in veg. Ya know! Oh yeah take grow big thru beggining of flower or your leaves/buds may be crispy from lack of N on there feeding schedule. Nitrozym watered in and foilar feeds also does wonders with FF. Bubble there line for at least 24 and watch the ph grow to a more optimal range and you can eliminate adjusting ph with chems all together. They do have something living there but, there line is not all organic unlike there soils. Other things to consider with FF: A bloom booster (unless your not into that), super bat guano( can be a bloom booster I use it for aroma and taste mostly), roots exel by house and garden, mixing with light warrior by FF helps with drainage, never flush unless you absolutely have to. Plane water can become your best friend oh yeah a cal mag +. An ORGANIC one. Just my preferences. One more thing I don't find it necessary to use all there boost.

"I can feed after 2 weeks plane water if i start low." I can feed after 2 weeks of plain water if I start with a low dosage. Better sentence!

She's puttin' on some weight! How far away are you keeping your light?

I see that you have an electronic ballast too. Check the instructions if you haven't already. If your ballast is anything like mine, you'll be able to plug a 400 watt HPS right in without even having to flip a switch. Which you may well know.

If ya get a chance, and wouldn't mind, step back and take a picture of your whole set up. It looks like you've got a lot of potential there, but considering the size of your space and ventilation will help you decide how you should train the plant. If you're considering using a cone to train the plant, you might want to look into Scrog instead.

Lookin' nice!

very nice man I'm in the exact same situation as you except I'm using a 600 watt and not twisting my plant, but I see you've got tiger bloom and is that other one big bloom? I just was at the store getting nutrients and got grow big as opposed to big bloom is that better? Have you added any to it because my seeds are a little over a week in and not doing as hot as I'd like and if people like big bloom better I need to go return it while I can

yea im following the exact nutrient plant that fox farm gives but i switch it up and give it just plain water once in a while due to how strong the ocean forest already started off as, what exactly big bloom are you using cause if your using FF then just follow the feeding schedule but go a little lighter than they say and with the seeds where exactly do you have the seeds placed and how and what did you use to germinate?
