first time grower saying hello with pics!!

hi guys how are you?just thought i'd throw up a few pics of my first grow..should have started this yrs ago lol..dont know what type of plants they are ..got the seeds in a bag of weed and said i'd try it first and get my grow room sorted before purhasing decent female seeds..they are nearly 5 wks old now and about 15" tall..think i'll start flowering soon to see if i have any girls..grown under 125 watt 6400k white/blue spectrum eco light...they got a bit leggey to start with due to poxy household light,was waiting to get the cfl!! any comments or advice appreciated thanks guys:clap:

looking good. welcometo the site. plants look nice and green. they look indacish one looks to be a little sativish. keep up the good grow.

cheers mate thanks...yeah they are nice and green alright..a little bit of leaf curl on 2 of them..one up and one down lol..but seem to be doing fine..lovely smell off them when i open the box..just waitin on my fan and filter to be delivered:neutral:
 
It looks like you`ve got a hps settin on them.just be careful that you don`t burn them up.Good Luck,I`ll be watchin,HoHoHo

lol..yeah it looks like a hps from the pic..theres actually very little heat of the bulb..have it a couple of inches from the top just in case anyway:mrgreen:

Thats actually a 125w CFL. No way you could put a non vented HPS that close without flames.

OP Your looking good but you are going to need more light for flower or your yeilds will be horrible.

You might get as much out of one plant as you could with five in that set up.

Looking very good!!!

well for now i'll only be stickin in a 250 watt red spectrum for flowering..i doubt there will be all females if any so there should be a bit more light gettin to them when i pull the males out..all done on the cheap at the moment being unemployed sucks!!just getting things bit by bit lol...i made the box myself out of mdf just to get me going

i run a none vented 1000wtt hps and my plants get up in the hood with no ill effects. you must not of watched my videos. growingmeds on youtube..

Interesting, a 1000w HPS in a closet with the plants in the hood and you did not burn down the house. Nice.

Then why bring it up in a thread where a guy has a closet grow. Granted you can have a none Hooded 1000w HPS, but you can not have a none ventilated one, well maybe in the Artic. I understand you are proud of your grow and rightly so but these types of threads are not the place to pound your chest.

Yeah I have a 400w MH in a 2x2x6 that is none hooded and the heat is kicking my ass. I am going to the hydro store to see if they have the hood I want.

Your set up looks great. Keep up the good work.

cheers bonzai...i actually had a problem getting the heat to rise with the cfl..what i did was stick in a heating 100w ceramic bulb from a vivarium..problem solved so when light off it shouldnt drop too much either..i'll prob have to put the 150w bulb when i get proper ventilation in there:-P
 
your missing the whole point of what im saying. im saying as long as you have a good fan hanging right at light level blowing the heat away from the tops of the plants they will not burn from heat even at 105 degrees. works basicly like a cool tube. as long as you have a good exhaust ventilation, even in a closet,box, what ever your growing in.
