first time grower opinions please pics

hi guys. this is my first grow got 3 ak48 and 1 super skunk from seed in bio bizz all mix. there 3 weeks old in 3g pots transplanted them a week and a half ago they were under 400w hps but got hold of a mh lamp so switched it yesterday. just want a general opinion on how they look. there between 5-6inces tall i thought they would be bigger at this stage just started giving them 1/4 strengh bio grow i water every 3 days. been giving them 300ml each feed but think im upping that dont think its enough.do you guys give more water each time you feed or gradually increase it over time. im tryin so hard not to over water think i might be under watering soil feels dry a day after watering. any opinions would be great thanks guys.

they shouldn't be dry after a day considering the size of the plant and pots you have them in, you may be under watering. i water till about 5-10% of the water runs out the drainage holes.

plants look good though, good luck with the grow.
 
surely that would take a lot of water iv just watered them now gave them 500ml, pots feel heavy but nothin draining out of the bottom should i at least water untill there is some run off.
 
its a good idea as you want some of the nutrients to flush out once in awhile so it doesnt build up in the soil.
 
what you are describing is normal for soil with good drainage and a good watering schedule. Gravity moves the water to the roots at the bottom, pushes the stale air water down and brings oxygen with it. Most hydro drain to waste that I have read recommend that 10% run off others have mentioned. I do that when top watering before installing in my flood and drain. VV
