First time grower - Need help with lights

Hey guys, im new around here.

I have my seeds, my growing area, and all i need is the lighting.

Being a first time grower, i don't want to spend a lot of money on the lighting, although i know it is an important factor to the growth.

What is the minimum wattage any of you would say for growing cannabis?

I only have about £30 to spend.
Please don't flame, im only a "noob"

well i doint know about minimum but when i grow my first few plants i used 60 watts and they turned out fine tho i was stupid enuff to get 4 of my 7 plants confiscated by the police cose they found 4 of em neway hope that helps enjoy growing

Ah ok, cool.

How many of those 60watts did you use? What type were they (HPS, MH, CLF etc..)?

So, would a 250W MH lamp be ok for a 6ft SQ grow?

I have to ask this - where were the other 3 plants? Very odd that they missed them!

llol the other plants were fuckn locked in the powerbox which is where i keept the plants some times but the others wernt hidden because sum of the plants needed more light cos i grow some earlier than others plus australian cops are annoying and stupid thats why they didnt find them because once they found the first few plants they had enuff to take me to court so they sort of slacked off in the raid
