First time grower. Have a few questions.

First time grower. Have 14 plants that are about 3 weeks old. I transplanted them from rockwool cubes into 5 gallon buckets. However I'm unsure if I was supposed to take the rockwool cubes off when i put the plants into the soil. So i just ripped some of it off, and rolled it around in my hand to loosen up and allow the roots to get through.

I have been reading in here and have come across people saying that when you transplant your MJ, there tends to be a shock phase, and it wont grow immediately. Is this true?

Last question. I know that sometime soon I should start feeding the plant nutrients. They are in soil, and I read here that soil actually has enough nutrients to start the plant out for a few weeks. My plants are 2 1/2 feet tall, about 3 weeks old, maybe 4. So I was wondering if its time to buy some nutrients for them. Your opinions would all mean alot.

Hey,

To start don't worry about take the rockwool off, it can be added with the soil. Just put soil covering the top when you do so.
secondly yes there is a slight shock, it won't be noticable though and you shouldn't worry.
Lastly your plants must be have some serious stretch to reach 2 and 1/2 feet tall in 3 weeks O.o at this stage of time my plants are about the same age as yours and mine are alot shorter about 6-9 inches with loads of nodes. I have already started using diluted nutes on mine and they have responded well so go ahead i say (:
Remember to take baby steps :P
