I've been buying single fem seeds but have been thinking of getting regs...does seem a good price for 10 seeds! I thought the 600 club was only for 600 watters lol. Def gonna stop by then!

did you see all the freebies? i usually buy fem seeds when i buy them but the deep blue only has reg for now so i thought why not...plus all the freebies.
i put my last cheese bean in soil last night. that one and the bag seeds popped so i put them in the dirt. the kandy kush and crystal paradise popped today. gotta run to home dePOT to get my seedling soil. just using jiffy mix right now as i am out of promix. gotta get more of that sunday.
i was breaking up a bud of my ex cheese and found a seed!! i am thrilled as i just put my last one in soil. Jah loves it in my garden of weeden so He sent me more seeds

Am using the jiffy mix too...do you find that it's hard to water sometimes? Takes forever to drain and dries out quick for me. Guess that's why it's just starter mix. Want to keep my plants in it for a while because I'm worried about burning them with the Happy Frog / Ocean Forest mix I have.
You're about to have a lot going on over there with all those seeds popping. What's you light schedule like?

I got high for the first time in several days today...and started coming up with some ideas. Decided to put the flowering girls under a dual spectrum 200watt (1000w equivalent) 15000 Lumen CFL. Will probably end up adding some supplemental lighting as well. I wanted to finish flowering in the box but I think the light set up in the closet will be better for the plants. Ordered it online. Was about 25 bucks, free shipping. Is a huge roll, have more than I need lol.

$25 is pretty good, I'm pretty satisfied with my windshield reflector and cutting the emergency blanket sheet to the correct size was a pain, but if I figure out how to make my closet work I'll have to keep that in mind. Your grow is looking pretty professional for it's size. I can see you growin teh pounds pretty soon lol. So you're going to use the box for the first 2-3 weeks of the plants life then when it starts budding move it to your main grow area?

I like the windshield reflector too, easier to work with. That's why I left the box alone. The Mylar isn't so bad if you're decent with wrapping presents. It was kind of hard to line the walls in the small ass closet though!

. Yup, the plan is to use the box until seeing buds, but might end up having to let one or two partially bud in there while waiting to be rotated into the closet. Am not sure what to expect yet but will work it out.

Yea I've never wrapped a single present in my life. I always get either family or friends to do it for me. That's one of the few things I don't have the patience for. How are you keeping the temps so low? Is it like 50F in your apartment?

It's hot as hell outside and the lowest it gets in here is 73. Guess the ventilation is pretty good. Also, the lotus CFL reduced my temps. It runs cool...watched a gnat running back and forth across it for a few mins.

Noticed you cut a few of the leaf tips, was that because they were burned or just for the light? Any noticeable scents or just like normal weed?

They got burned so snipped them. The electrical tape method for tying the length of the lights has its flaws lol. They are pretty funky, most noticeably when I put them in the tub for their watering. They don't smell as much as they used to though, like when I would touch their stems they smelled wonderful. Probably due to the phosphorus deficiency. Can't wait to use the tea next watering. Hopefully things start improving when I introduce all the organic goodness.
Do you mean why did I not make another bin setup? Well a big reason is because I live in a small apartment. Don't have room for them all over the place...much easier to use a closet! I love the sterilites but I'm not strictly confining myself to them. Want to play around with height as well, maybe even do some kind of vertical grow eventually.

Ok cool, i subbed for sure, GREAT grow topic, i think im going to try a cfl grow with my Sterilite, would you think a 150 or 200 watt bulb would be able to put out enough for one plant through veg and flower? Only doing 1 atm as its my first time and i need to learn without fucking up ALL my seeds 
Or would you recommend a different set up, cfl watt wise for veg/flower?

It's actually pretty efficient to use several smaller CFLs since their effectiveness fades after a few inches. 150 and 200 watts would be great if that's the route you want to go...but if you can, try to use a reflector (wish I had one!) and place smaller lights around the plant to get light to as many areas as you can. Otherwise your yield will suffer. That's why I started off with a scrog, so then I could just place lighting on an even level on the top. Yes i will for sure! I dont think ill scrog as i need to do more research on it, but i think im for sure going to do LST and tie those babies off so i get a nice even canopy for the 150 or 200w bulb to shine on from the top, I will probably place smaller bulbs at the bottom corners faced up towards the bottom of the canopy as well. Would you happen to know what color spectrum is the best? Also, is there a an ideal wattage set up for vegging and a different set up for flowering that you can recommend?

LST is just as good, but scrog isn't so hard if you ever decide to try it
. 6500k is the best spectrum for veg. It's good to mix a little bit of 2700k in there too. For flowering it's the exact opposite, mostly 2700k, little bit of 6500k. As for an ideal wattage...it depends on your space and the size of the plants. I increase wattage / # of CFLs as the plants grow.

3:1 ratio for lights, more 6500k for vegging more 2700k for flowering. I agree with Lady if you're going to go the CFL route go smaller, possibly 26w or 42w if you can handle the heat, because that one big bulb will be awesome for your top nodes, but your bottom nodes will suffer.
SCROG is probably harder to set up(if you have to make your screen), but after that all you have to do is tuck the nodes through the next square. A lot better than trying to determine where the best spot to LST is and where to die it down. I can't even touch the inside of my pot because I have like 15 wires going from the plant to the edge of the pot.

Have you seen what Nugbuckets is doing? He tops at the second node and the tops both sides twice to get 8 colas. He does some extreme training and ends up with 8 or 16 equal height and size large colas!
