First time grow

Well I started this grow with a seedling from my buddy RollaJ. I got her around a week from first leaves. She is roughly three weeks or so. I also started three strains. The first is a Girl Scout Cookie the second is a Durban Poison the third is an auto flowering purple kush. I'm growing under a 600w hps system. I'm also running a 600w intake and exhaust with carbon filters on both systems. I'll be posting some pics later on tonight or tomorrow when the lights come back on.

Here is an update with some pics of the set up and one of the ladies. I also got pretty lucky that my town has almost perfect ph levels. I don’t even run the water softener I have in my house.

So I was reading and for some reason I thought about checking on the height of the light. I had it at 30 inch’s. Lowered it to 18 inchs. So the plant can really get the full use of the light. On an unrelated note the soil I am using is a mix of one cup hf to one cup of and a quarter cup perlite. I also have to say thanks to RollAj for helping me out with any questions.

Update on the ladies. They are on 18-6. Had some issues with keeping the humidity up in the tent. I remedied that by buying 4 Vick’s humidifiers and running them at all times. Running intake and exhaust at full strength. Keeping the tent at a comfortable 78 degrees and a humidity of 55%. Overall all the plants I have started so far are growing beautifully. Going to get more pics tomorrow.

Just got a new light in yesterday. Got a 600w cool tube that I put up. I also put a temp controller in the mix also to run my intake fan. It worked pretty good last night but I’d really like to keep my intake running constantly so I am going to buy an ac tomorrow and set it up to constantly cool the light and just run my intake all the time. Not really using the exhaust yet unless it gets a bit humid in the tent. When the small seedlings come out of my box I will hang the 2nd light I have to ensure all the plants get more then enough light. This run I’ll be running 16 plants all will be in 5 gallon buckets. Let’s see how many make it all the way to harvest. The strains I’m running right now are also Afghani #1 four plants. Alaskan thunderfuck one plant. Bubba Kush one plant. Girl Scout Cookies three plants. Durban posion one plant. Easy money Garcia two plants. Laughing Buddha two plants. Auto purple one plant. And one blueberry twist.

Well today was transplant day. Had a buddy come help me out since I was a bit intimidated. Thanks a lot Rolla. Here is how the girls roots look like they are happy in there final home. Next major thing is flipping to flower.

Here are some pictures from this morning when I woke up. One of the smaller girls somehow started to throw some pistils but I’m not really foreseeing a problem. Going to be up potting the 2 easy money Garcia’s today or tomorrow I think now time to go down to the garden to get the soil ready lol

Update today it’s lights out and the girls that I have up potted to the 5 gallons are loving it. My original plant that was given to me is putting out some beautiful smells. Going to do the last transplanting for the solo cups and the Durban Poison and Girl Scout into 5 gallons. I’ll have pictures later today.

The pics I promised earlier. This plant is a first picture is of a plant that is only a few weeks old and is not an auto flower. Second picture is all the way at the bottom of the stem lol. I’m so tempted to turn the second light on but then I might have an issue with the heat. I might just have to buy a new air cooled reflector so I can run both lights without worrying about the temps. Also for future reference running two of them cheap $15 humidifiers at wall mart with a 600w exhaust fan with a carbon filter keeps your humidity at around 50-55% rh lol. Last pic is of all the girls in the new pots.

Girls are doing beautiful today. Took a trim off the four big ladies. All under bush that wasn’t getting any light at all. They seemed not to mind much so far will have more pictures in about a week as long as there are no problems.

Well went into the tent this morning. Girls are all doing awesome. Gave them all a watering. Trimmed a bit of the undergrowth. Next week the big girls will be going into flower as well as the autos. Autos are starting to flower pretty good also. Can’t wait to get my new tent to keep vegging with the smaller girls. I will be transplanting the girls in 1 gallon pots into 3 gallons before I put them into 5 gallons. So I have extra room in the veg tent since it is going to be a smaller tent. If there are any plants y’all wanna see me grow just drop a comment and I’ll get the seeds to start them.

So ran into a bit of an issue today went and checked on the lady’s today. The biggest Lucille was dropping really bad checked the soil and it was pretty dry. Gave her a watering and waited I’d say about two hours and the leaves are almost back to how they were before. Going to give her another watering later this afternoon. More pics to come.

So I am at the point that I am needing a separate tent for vegging and flower. Sooooo I went to my local hydro store and both a whole new tent set up lol. Can’t wait for my grow buddy to come by later today to help set it up lol. Let the fun begin.

So today was the separation day. Put three afghani’s, and also all the autos in there. Left the biggest afghani in veg as a mother. Will be taking some clones off her next week since I had an incident with one of the main cola branch’s breaking. Will be posting more pics later on.

Been crazy busy lately with some family emergencies. But I have returned. So since the last update I had one plant hermie about two weeks into flower. Other three afghanis are doing beautiful up potted the first one to a 7 gallon after deciding that I suck at cloning. But aside from that everything is looking like it did last time I posted. Here are a few cola pics that I took going to go in and take some more better pictures. Those are purple devils btw.
