it all depends on what space you have?, how much money you have? and what you want to achieve out of your grow?.
we cant tell you what you need without knowing a few questions first.
like hydro or coco or soil?

Tell us what you are thinking in terms of lights, media, nutrients...do you want to grow with mineral salts or organic? That kind of thing. Once you tell us more we can direct you to some awesome links with the collective knowledge of the Einsteins of the stoner world! Most important: BUDGET!! Equally important, don't make ANY major purchases without double checking here, check twice buy once!

Honestly I got a lil corner in my basement I was gonna throw a small tent in and far as soil and all that what would y’all recommend and money no more than 300

seeds are verry much down to you. for a first timer i would sugest an indica strain . there easy to prune and train and very user frendly.
are there any strains you have herd of that you like the sound of?

you can maybe save up a little longer and buy one of those tent/light and fan combos.
Unfornately nearly all these kits leave the buyer feeling disappointed. You're light is your most crucial buy. Cheaping out will leave you needing to buy another light just to get a decent flower. A large portion of these tents are also cheaply made.

As for seeds, get photoperiod feminized indicas for your 1st grow imo. They will cost a bit more but its FAR easier knowing they are female for your first time. Autoflowers are just not great for beginners even though they seem tempting. Good luck!

thanx for the info, i have a mars hydro tent im realy happy eith and 2 ts 600's i had hoped to play with, but my mum has them in use over her tomato and pepper plantlets after i raved about starting them off early and how the 2 ts600's would be perfect for it, me and my big mouth. so in useing a 250w mh and a 400 and 600 watt mh/hps bulbs to play with instead.
good to know about the tents.
yes the light is one realy important buy, i can only speak about the ts600's as starter lights and the bare minimum for a starting grower. there great for seedlings cuttings and the early stages of plant growth. thats when me mum wanted to try them out, so no idea about flowering with them

I have 2 Mars Hydro tents, the quality is great. Just bought an AC Infinity 4x4, looking forward to seeing the quality of it, since I love their fans.

300 USD or Euro is a lean budget but totally do-able. You're going to have to plan your spend so you don't exceed your budget. Tent, lights, fans and charcoal scrubber will eat most of that.

What can you do without for your first couple of runs?
Are you a legal grow? Do you care if your house smells like weed? You might be able to ditch the charcoal scrubber.
Do you own tools and can you build a light proof box? Might be cheaper per square foot than a tent.
Soil or hydro? Soil can be done succesfully for dirt cheap but can get expensive fast if you want. Hydro has a higher initial equipment cost.

For seeds, MSNL, Seedsman, The Vault and others are all legit and ship to locations all over the world. I would second @go go kid 's recommendation to go with an indica for a first grow. I'd take it even further and suggest an old school strain. They're cheap, solid, proven and will probably exceed your expectations. And if you kill a few plants, and you likely will, it's not a major loss.

What are your goals for your first grow? Get a couple of plants sucessfully to harvest and jar up some bud? Be a Hydro Whiz Kid? The former is lower risk and has a higher probability of success. Keep it simple. Walk before you try to run.

However you want to approach this, you're in the right place. Smart of you to ask questions before you start. Welcome to RIU.
