hey guys.

Going through my first grow. Things arent as i thought they would seem.

Plants are under a 250mh
In their 2 nd week of veg
Pro mix/perlite mix

Now, ive studied (obssesed) growing cannabis for a solid 3 months before buying a tent , light and all that sharazz, and ive seen plenty of pictures of the beautifull plant.

My four girls do not look anything like i thought they would . The structure of it seems off.

I suspect the dirt to be the culprit as i find it doesnt drain well. Maybe the roots are having trouble growing ? After watering the dirt seems soggy

Thoughts? Suggestions?

If I was a beginner I would start with soil, something like Fox Farm or some other quality brand, after a few grows under my belt then maybe start considering more advanced mediums
-good luck:leaf:

Are you feeding her? this has to be the oddest looking plant i have seen, that fan leaf though lol IM no pro but id say she is drowning on top of other issues (deficiency)...Taken from google--peat holds several times its weight in moisture, and releases the moisture to the plants roots as needed. It also holds onto nutrients so that they aren't rinsed out of the soil when you water the plant. Peat moss alone does not make a good potting medium

They look overwatered for sure. The problem could be your soil and or you giving water to frequently. A plant that size could go a good while between waterings. Just remember it's better to underwater your plant than to overwater it. Though neither are ideal, you can literally watch an under watered plant recover before your eyes. Let that soil dry out and use the pot lifting method next time you water. I actually let my plants ask for water to dial in their watering schedule.

By ask I mean start to wilt. Like I said, you can watch a under watered plant recover in minutes.

@Indacouch cool thanks. Ill try drying them out some and see what happens.

On one of then plants when watering ( only about 300ml ) the water pools at the top , for quite some time . Which is what makes me think the medium is to thick.

Anyway to safely change medium during a grow?

if i had to guess i would say a cal/mag deficiency as well maybe? with you only using peat it is just settling more an more when watered and has little drainage. also it is probably holding so much water in their already it just pools on top do to that..
