ive considered doing some kind of screen, but it would have to be mobile with the pots, so i can take it out of room to water. its a major pain to water it in the grow room. im assuming you all are steering me into the screen direction, and i appreciate the wisdom, but i really dont have a plan on setting up some kind of screen that can travel with the plant. ideas??

Water them in tent like you have now. Invest in a wet shop vac and vac out the drainage pots problem solved. No need to move plants

ummm even without temp as an issue there is still light burn... ur best bet is tto cut off the roof , or get a bigger tent..... scrogging isnt gonna help imo....

alright well i guess i have some problem solving to do here, so im going to have to sleep on this in order to come up with some plan before i flip. i still feel like a mobile scrog would be the best cause it it really is a pain to water in the room.

u can make a scrog out of anything 4 plastic pvc pipes and a 3x3 foot peice of mesh wire that u would use for under concrete.... or 3inch spaced chicken wire... or string ....

if u go with scrog and still gets to hot or burns cut a flap in your tent (that u can repair later) the size of your light put ur light on the outsideof the tent , bottom flush with the top of your tent and use sumthing to seal around the edges.... that will atleast give u another 11 inches or howver tall your hood is

@daloudpack while OP is sleeping on it, i think he's in an enclosed room because his first post mentions a ceiling.
even better..... more support for the light to sit on and less of a fire hazard... cut a rectangle in it (like a skylight) still not enuff room then remove entire roof get 2x4, frame and raise it 2 feet then use drywall or plywood for sides and top

What you can do is flip to flower now, and raise your pots higher without burning your plant's. If they stretch fast then you can take an inch or two away from whatever is boosting the pots, by the time the whole pre-stretch phase is over you can put your plants back down again. You have to check every day though! Make sure when they stretch an inch, take an inch away. Honestly, at 2 1/2 months old, they do not look tall or stretched to begin with but they look good to go. If you flower now, im gonna say she will end up 20" away from the top of the soil. 20" + the height of your pot = the gap between light and tops. If she does start stretching bad(which i doubt with northern light) then scrog and tuck daily.

Begin 12/12 immediately I find that vegging with mh and leaving mh in 2 weeks in to flowering helps slow stetch also when im in veg I pull all fans at new nodes once new nodes are about half to inch long it helps slow my streching down and causes new nodes to become more independent sooner. It may sound wierd but im no noob it works. I like to cut my lights out for 24 hours before switching to 12/12 but with your height restrictions I would just flip the switch bro its flower time!!!!!!!
