Ok wow lots of great people here. thanks everybody! now let me get to replying to the post.

@ Crazyhazey when checking the moister of the soil how far down to you make sure its dry? all the way down to the bottom? is it ok to water if the soil is dry half way down or should i wait?

@ NobNard7 yea i guess i was just expecting more from them. The bag seeds are going so fast it just threw me off. Seems like i just need to check your page first and then look at mine to compare. At what wk did you transplant your autos to larger containers? Hopefully mine do start to put of pistols at wk 3 or they sold my some b/s fem. seed. Im surprised to hear they start flowering so soon. as mine is a wk and a half and if it were a reg. plant i wouldn't even consider it in the veg. cycle yet.

@smokeyour own - thanks i've been using the A/C condensation and starting to collect it to use later, but after hearing that n/m. I dont feel like smoking metal tasting bud. Guess I better start a rain trap like Crazyhazey said before.

@getawaymoutain - those are some every nice girls in your pics! :weed: I like the pic. with the blackberry vines in it. Reminds me of Missouri that's where this guerilla wishes his jungle was. now are the plants in the picture the the same plant you said start to finish in 90 days? Cuz those plant look huge for an auto if so. I got an Annapurna Super Auto going. They say they get big because they are a super auto now time to wait and see.

the ones in the 3 gal bags are early (90) days and the ones in the berry pic are some other crosses of early strains that we aclimated for here . but are done by mid to end sept this pic's is the 90 day strain in 3 gallon bag041.jpg. the ones under the trees are the same ones just a couple weeks earlier ,had a hurricane come thru real early last fall and had to put them under cover for the heavy rains and wind.i won't say fully auto like lowryder and crosses but semi auto would be more acurate to say View attachment 2095442

@ getawaymountain What were the strains that you crossed to get your pheno? super skunk early and early wonder skunk? and i see in your picture it look like you have your plants under a tree like in a shaded area. can I ask you why you did this? and how much direct sunlight did they recieve under the tree?

View attachment 2095222those are a cross of ss early bud from wild rose and early wonder skunk from solar warrior that we made and stabilized over the last few years to just have the pheno i wanted. they are very mold resistant being breed and grown in a wet foggy rainy climate. they take 90 days start to finish. in florida i kept them under 24 hrs light feb15 to april 1st and put them outside in 3 gallon bags and they finish just fine while the days are still short enough not to bother them ,they are usualy done by memorial day just in time to have for smoke all summer growing in maine. View attachment 2095223 this strain grow well in florida in 10 gallon bags
those are some sexy plants man great job, gotta love those high resistance strains. unfortunately im usually growing some indica doms, those hard buds make it real easy for 1 spidermite to come in an ruin a crop without it being noticeable. what part of FL are you usually in?

and aseboy, check the bottom holes and also make holes half way through, stick your finger in each. usually the small amount of moisture at the bottom will let them survive, you should see them perk up whenever they're getting a bit drier and the pots are really light. id say once the moisture in the bottom holes is getting somewhat dry, not enough so it turns back to light brown and grainy but when you can barely feel any water. with seedlings, this can differ. i would check the top 3-5" with your finger, then if its a little dry you can give them a little bit, probably a water bottles worth would be fine for them.
before you water though check the weather, it could rain really hard the next day and your watering could work out negatively.

also, if you poke holes in your medium a good way to tell if its getting dry is if the hole collapses in on itself after you try take out the pencil, this is how ive been doing it for the past few years. once holes disappear it means the moisture has wicked out, this is also good to do to the lower holes. dont be afraid to damage your root systems, this is what earthworms do and its quite beneficial to break root endings. i also suggest doing so after flushing, its a great way to get air to your roots.

Hey guys i am updating o how I'm doing with my grow, well as you know i have 3 plants, and they were all in 2 gallons, except for now i have 2 in 10 gallons and 1 left in the 2 gal still, but i am concerned about 1 of the plants i transplanted to the 10 gals bc the plant smelled really strong already but when i repotted it i accidentally broke off some long roots and i got the rootball only... and now the plant smells like grass... liked fresh grass lol, but here are some pics... in order the first one is the biggest, second one is getting LST'd and the third one smells the strongest and then a pic of all of them before they got transplanted..

nice i wanna breed a strain like that, can you successfully clone them? and yeah, havent got one this year but i feel like summers gonna suck. amazingly it not to humid in the orlando area, its usually muggy as shit by now, ive been kind of iffy about doing autos in the summers because of that. but i could just train them to grow vertical and get more bud spots if i could get an auto that finishes at like 2 ft.

hey man this is a open thread so feel free to spread your knowledge all across this page. as i see this as a florida guerilla grow thread not a personal thread. Just being able to suck up this knowledge is wonderful. I hope to put it all to good use. God I cant wait for the day for it to be federaly legal but until that day just call me the florida skunk ape. got kids now and cant do anything in the house for the fear of losing them so i am forced to the jungle.

Back to topic about the humidity. I has been surprizingly low so far this year, but remember the rain hasn't started yet. once it sets in watch out for that humidity to jump. I'm hoping by doing some sort of scrog method ill be able to battle this humidity with my autos that will be ready in another 6 to 8 weeks depending on which strain. I figure by the plant grow bent over and training the branches to kinda grow outward insted of upward ill be able to get more sun exposure to the buds to dry them out quicker.

So I have and question and it involves FL GRL Growing. I have 5 Vanilla Kush going, started Feb 1st. They are roughly 14-16in tall. A couple of them have been topped 3-4 times, some only once. They are in 2 gallon pots and I've been working the light cycle down to 14/10 for the last month so when they hit the outdoors its not a total shock. I've harden them off by putting them on the porch for a few hours during the day and leaving them out there over night. So the plan is putting them in 10 gallon Roots Organics grow bags that are in holes I made so the bag isn't that notice able. But my main question is the Florida light cycle. If i put them out on April 5th, sunlight is around 12hrs40min which would put the dark cycle at 11hrs20min. Is this cutting it too close? April 13-15th would be 13/11.. This is why I have my light cycle at 14/10, I'd like to help them adjust as quickly with the least amount of stress since they'll be transplanted as well as getting put in almost flower like conditions. But I need these ladies out of these small pots ASAP and that's why I asking.. Thoughts and comments please!!! :joint:

you can also try training them to grow around the rim, just make holes on the sides and run a string through it. an outdoor scrog would be killer though, maybe you could put the pot in a small cage and weave the mainstem around the cage.

do yourself a favor and look at Florida's state laws on cultivating. your state is one of the worst states to grow in and it may not be worth the risk.

anyways good luck with your grow man and be safe :leaf:

@aseboy- U asked about growing in swamps. N. Tampa had literally thousands of cypress swamps when I lived there. We never planted in them just hunted. But if youd care to scout places like that you will always start in water. but the larger ones will often have raised islands within. keep in mind these islands are full of wild life from armadillos to deer and hogs. Lotsa palmettos possible as well. If u see tunnel trails thru the palmettos it will likely be hog trails. The bigger the tunnel the bigger the hogs using them. These guys are indisciminate rutters. Short of concrete or steel barrier extending below ground nothing will keep them out of an area they want into. If u decide to use one of these areas be reasonably sure u dont see indications of them. Their rutted areas are unmistakeable. It will literally look like a tractor had been in there with a plow on the back and just tore the slop out of the place. Because I mention this last please dont think its of the least concern. That is that they are not only a prob for your gardens but they are not at all afraid to do you personal bodily harm. Good luck man and all the best. P.S.- If possible check the perimeters of these areas for drainage. Ditches even just low-lying open flat land where water can drain out.
Those FL hogs are good eating(when smoked all day), and as you know can be hunted year round. They'll come after you for no apparent reason, probably a territorial thing. What a nice cover for a grower though, out hunting boar while tending plants. Better yet, if I were back down there I'd get a cheap trailer w/a canoe and do contained plantings near gator sites.
