Hello,

600W HPS sylvania grolux
10L pots

Canna Coco Professional+
Canna Coco A+B
IONIC® PK Boost

seeds
3X OG Kush - Dinafem
3X Super Lemon Haze - GHS
3X Jack Herer - GHS

I am using well water with default PH 6.5, drifting up to 8+ twelve hours later.
Citric acid for bringing final solution to ~6 for few hours

Temperature
27 - 29C under lamp
25 -27C air

Did not feed them first week with A+B that was a mistake - slow growth

Currently I am at day 25 of veg. Wanted to switch to 12/12 after 30 days but because i screwed start it's better to wait to day 37 for proper root system. I'm hand watering and want big root systems so I can feed them at least two times a day during flower stage.

Repot into final pots at day 17. Some of them exploded some of them not so much :)

Pulling up my chair for this one. Have an epic run mate, all the best with the new genetics! Just a word of caution on the feeds, you mention wanting to feed twice a day in flower... This is waaaaaay overkill. Feed, water, water, feed, water, water, in that pattern. The cool thing about coco is it saves nutes big time, because it holds on to sooooo much (the stuff is used to mop up chemical spills it is that good at holding chemicals etc), going harder than feeding one out of three waters can make for some mean salt build up. Test your run off and feed according to what comes out the bottom, test for EC and Ph, if EC is coming out higher than that of the nute solution going in, that means salt build up...

Thanks!
I'm aware of possible salts build up. But is it happening with CANNA too?
CANNA stated that if i follow their feeding chart dosages (i'm using their customized chart for hard water with less nutrients per liter actually) i should have no salt problems.

I have quite healthy plants at this moment. Did not spot a single problem with leaves yet.

From CANNA FAQ: http://www.cannagardening.com/faq#canna-coco
DO NOT PUT PLAIN WATER ON THE COCO MEDIUM. We stress this because the balance in the medium will go crazy and things will begin to show issues and take about 8 days or more to re-stabilize.
Never use plain water. Even when you think you need to leach the container, do so at 600 ppm nutrients or at 0.8 EC.
Q: When using COCO and the matching nutrients, is it still advisable to flush the soil mix with water every 2 weeks (for example) to make sure there is no build up of toxins in it?

A:Leaching is only necessary if you have an excess of nutrients in the medium. So if you apply correctly, it is not needed. Flushing is done in the final 3-7 days prior to harvest to get all the remaining nutritive elements used up so they do not affect taste and quality after harvest and is done by stopping all fertilizer applications just prior to harvest and using plain water to remove remaining salts in the medium.

Welcome bro i have been using Canna for over a year now you will still get salt build up if you just keep feeding and never flush or every 3rd water just do 50% to help and make sure you have a good run off and you will be fine all the best with the grow

Well thanks for pointing this out.
I probably picked too big pots for this because it takes an enormous amount of water to have good runoff and then pots are totally saturated with water for days.
CANNA is suggesting to keep medium rather drier between watering than soaked because of fungal diseases like Pythium.

So in flower I will be flushing with 50% nutes strength from time to time (~ 1x week) and focusing to have good single runoff. Sounds OK?

As long as you keep an eye on that runoff you sound golden mate :)

Sounds like you got a good plan like MAD has said always check your run off this is key once the EC or PPM starts to go up it's time to flush yeah pot size is a pain but it's better bigger the to small so my missus tells me... ;) and once the roots fill the pot she will drink like a fish so enjoy not needing to water all the time and the great thing about coco is as long as you have good drainage you can't over water all the best subbed for the show

Hi,

today is day 35 veg and I'm going to switch soon.

So far I got some minor problems with leaves on two plants which look like CAL or MAG def you can see it on "overfert.JPG"

One small plant - i flushed it with weak nutes, it helped

One big plant - i didn't flush it with weak nutes. Because I think she can handle it. I didnt feed her enough. And when I increased dosage and made flush with that dosage - after 24h it apperead on two leaves but it's not expanding anymore so I think its OK.

BTW, red stems - some say it's genetics. But in my case red stems are caused by underfeeding. When I increased dosage no new red stems apperead and also old red stems are slightly disappearing
