I think I may wanna switch to hydroponics. Alto.. toolage... all u bastards have hydro.. hook it up tell me the odds n ends!! Cause i heard its way easier to maintain ph.. n other levels of nutes!! so like someone talk to me about this lmfao

I'm in the process of building one.. I'll post it up in the hydro section. It will be a step-by-step thread of what I got and how I made it.

I'm going with aero though.. less water.. less weight.. over-all, it will be more up-front cost but more efficient in the long run.

At first I thought.. DWC.. simple.. easy.. then I saw how much wieght it was to hold 18+ gallons of water @ 8 lbs. per gallon.. damn!

The only tools you'll need is a pH meter and a TDS meter. pH should be at 5.8-6.2, TDS should be 1200-1400 (Earl clued me in here.. and look at his harvest!!!). Out side of that.. you'll need a pH up and a pH down.

Check out Earl's meters.. they are bomb!

nice, i am pretty sure i will be going to ponics after a while. Just seems alot easier than dirt especially inside grows. but i have always heard soil > ponics when it comes to quality? I like the aero idea, the whole weight thing with DWC sucks.

u can still do organics in hydro.. wouldnt it still be good flavorful etc.. as long as u dont use the chem chems.. use teh organic shit ?

Well what are the differnt types? Whichs ones are best.. etc
DWC = easy setup, tons of water, not easy to move to drain/refill.

NFT = less water, larger area (Peep Earl's op.)

Flood/Drain = less water, very useful, takes up a bunch of space (Peep Al B. Fuct's op.)

Aero = more complex setup, least amount of water, easily clogged unless using 100% water-soluble nutes and H2O2 horticultural grade (50%).

The highest yeilding setup?

Aero.

The corner-stone to all successful hydro setups is H2O2.. which will DESTROY any organic material.

So organics will clog it up easy eh
Organics are nice.. don't get me wrong. I've seldom bought nutes for anything before.. home-made ferts and compost. Now that I'm serious, and older, I'm spending the big bucks to get the good shit.

General Hydroponics has been around for a long time.. and they are the best for the begginer since the have everything in them (Macro/Micro/Trace).

Fox Farm looks like it is more complex.. but I think you'll be paying for the name.

There are other factors to be involved.. but I'm confident the Maxigrow, Maxibloom and Koolbloom are all I'm ever going to need.

Really, it is all about the lighting system.

Another thing to think about.. plants produce suagars to grow.. supplimenting the hydro rez with molasses has been proven to boost yield.

Peep Earl's journal.

He uses Milwaukee TDS and Milwaukee pH with probes. The probes can be replaced, which is very much needed.

Seriously, check his journal.

omg .. not even a bowl to dry hit ? o_O
Resin my friend. Rip it hard enuff u'll forget it was resin ha ..
Did that weeks ago.

If my old sherlock wasn't stolen I'd be able to hit it once a night for a week or two. That bowl was deep as shit.. plus all the dank Jack Herrer, Ghani, and Skunk I had burned through it.. shit.. the good 'ole days.

It's cool.. I'll get my bamboo up and running sometime.. this bud is going to be primo!

Went to get some dirt from my sister n her mans place. He grows as well. Well instead of wasting my time n money he had mag / sulfur shit there So i just took enuff for a gallon of his shit So i can fix my plants real quick. Fixed the water to 6.7 :P Gonna either feed them tomorrow morning if the soil is dry enuff or tomorrow evening to help fix their probs. I honestly think it was my ph too low cause i was feeding them 5.5 for soil !! :-x That started my defeciency spelling lmfao problems cause at that low it locks out lots of nutes.. So that could of been my main problem this whole time.. So i fixed that before im doing anything else :)
