first time cloning (help)

okay, once my plant is big & mature enough to clone..
i will clone her to determine sex & all that other good stuff..

the thing is, i just spent more than half the day..
trying to look at other peoples methods & ways of cloning..
they write it down & don't exactly show me where..
i saw the diagram on weedbay.. but, i don't want to cut from the top..

i want to take a clone from the side shoots..
& i know they have to be at least 4-5" long..
& have at least 2-3 fan leaves.. & be ideal/mature..

i even checked some videos out & they show HOW to..
but, they don't show WHERE to cut to clone..
which is basically what i want to know..
& i want to clone from the side shoots..
NOT from the top of the plant.. only from the side shoots..

does anyone know of a place that shows where? on a diagram?
i would appreciate it & +REP the first person that does..

& i know i sound like a noob.. & i am at cloning..
but, i don't want to f**k up on this..

thanks :D

thanks for the reply man..
yeah, that did clarify as to where..

just curious though..
my plant is not stretched at all..
she is 13 days old right now..
& she only has a centimeter to half an inch of node spacing..
& it looks as if it will be super bushy.. well it looks super bushy right now..
& i think it will be hard? for my plants side shoots to come out..
i have lights on the shoots, just that it's crammed in there..
no growing space whatsoever.. well, once it reaches the big fan leaves..
when she gets older, will the centimeter to half an inch spacing get bigger?
or should i stretch her? i know stretching is bad.. but she isn't stretched much..

thanks +REP for you..

At 13 days old your plant is still just a baby. Just keep it nice and healthy and growing at a steady rate, eventually you will have plenty of potential clones.
Some plants don't like to branch out and spread much, but it is still too early to know how yours will end up. In the meantime look into threads about topping or tying plants to encourage bushy growth. Once you've got cloning down it's a lot easier to crank out steady flow of consistent bud. Happy cloning!
