First Time CFL. Check it Out!

I started my own cfl grow about 4 weeks ago still veggin but your thread has given me alot of new ideas and answered some questions i had check mine out and tell me what u think :clap: +rep:joint::joint:

Thx man :D. Soo much going on when your doing a first grow. Cant wait to chop my big female down, i am going to put a 20g bin in there with 3 females and scrog.

Finished putting up my 3$ emergency blankets (had to buy two) from wally world, it looks a lot brighter from adding that, also added 2 more 26watt 2700ks for a total of 300watt now, getting bright! :D I know my plants love it in there.


The big female has not really growing vertically, have not had to move the lights for awhile, not sure what she is doing but looks real healthy. Feeding her every water with 1/2tsp per gal mg 15-30-15 and every 3 waters i give her about 1/4 gal of 1.5tbsp of 15-30-15-gal. Every water she takes about 1 gal of fert/water, water every 4 or 5 days, that will probably change when the roots set in a lot. Its been in that 5gal for 17 days now, still would be nice to see here fill in like crazy. pics

edit: plants are getting to much N, going to have to re adjust the feeding schedule.
 
you got emergency blankets at walmart?!? i was just there last night looking EVERYWHERE for them and i asked like 5 different people all of them looked at me like i was speaking chinese. i bought flat white paint instead...hopefully it works well haha

If you're Walmart carries them, they will be in the camping department.

HighLife, your plants are looking so healthy great bro. Great stuff. Do you veg with only 2700k cfls?

the two tied down are females. Not sure about the 2 on the right.

Going to be interesting to see what happens. These are more bag seeds from some commercial. Going to lst the crap out of them so they wont grow to high.:leaf:

Try to grow tall now :D. If this works out well i will do this with all my plants.

Going to Scrog! Not yet though, just took some pics with the screen. Going to tie them down a couple more times. I am pretty sure 2 plants out of the 4 will be female. We'll see. I am going to try to make these plants half the size of my big female.

I think they are growing so tall because you are vegging them under 2700's and because the light is too far from them and they are stretching out to get closer to it. They look good but next time try vegging with a few daylight bulbs and you will see a big difference. Save the 2700's for flowering.
 
Yeah, I saw a chart somewhere showing what effects different wavelengths of light have on the plant. I could try to find it for you if you want, I only remember that it said that 6500k light prevents elongation

i think its just the strain. I am growing commercial pot. Using 2700k and 12/12 only to prevent stem growth and flower as soon as possible. I will start to mix the spectrum more sense i will be scrogging from now on i think.. HomeDepot has a 150w hps in a box already with a 120v cord for $40 i am looking into.
