I'm currently researching for my first grow. I have a 16 square meter outhouse, so spacing isn't an issue, which I'm planning on eventually using for a big grow, but for now I'm starting small. Right now the plan is a 1 square meter Ebb and Flow, growing Northern Lights ( http://www.sensiseeds.com/northernlights/1p235.htm) from clones in a sea of green setup. Provided everything goes well I'll make it a perpetual grow and for the next one accompany the NL with another strain suited to SOG in a separate set-up.
I understand that a SOG is by no means the easiest way to start growing but I'm willing to get a poor first harvest for the experience it will give me.

- Would another ebb and flow system be good for clones and mothers? I so, how would that work? If not what would be better?
- Would a single 600W hps be enough for 1 square M? If not, is there a general rule for lighting in a SOG?
- Do you think that NL is a good choice for a first time SOG? If not what would you recommend?
