i will be growing in a room that is 12ft across 10 ft high, and about 7ft wide. I will be building two seperate rooms. one for flowering and one for veg cycle. they will be 5ft tall, 6ft across and 3.5ft wide.

Now my question is how many plants can i grow at a time?
i was hoping about 10-14 in each section

Will a 600w bulb be good for each section?(1 mh and 1hps)
and where do you get your lighting fixtures from

thanks

600 Watt will supply 6.5'x6.5'. So about 42 Square feet you'll have coverage for. What fixtures are you looking for? Reflector, and cord set? Or are you looking for everything such as the ballasts and bulbs? The number of plants that you can have grow within your room depends on how big you want them to get. Remember though that once you change from the MH to the HPS( from veg. to flower) you'll have to plan on the plant to get about 3x's bigger.

The lighting sounds good.
What's your air flow like? because you're going to need Co2 (you could make a CO2 generator) and heat will be an issue.

i think i would split the room into 6' x 7' instead of 3.5 x 6' or some shape that is more square to make better use of your light in the area. long skinny rooms dont do well with just 1 light.
1 600W per room will work great and definatly cover 10 plants however i think with 10 - 14 i would use 600 for veg and 1000 for flower

Mylar is not good. Flat White house paint (not gloss or enamel) is perfect.

Example: Turn the lights off and shine a flashlight at a sheet of mylar. Only the wall opposite the mylar will light up due to the reflection. The rest of the room sees very little of that light. Now, shine that flashlight at a flat white wall. The wall seems to light up and the wall will glow in every direction. That's the kind of light that you need.

As for room design, you should definately make the flowering area square. The room doesn't have to be, but the grow area should be. You won't need to walk around all 4 sides. 2 sides open is enough and 3 sides is plenty. A single 4x4 tray (ebb & flow) under a 600 or 1000 watt light would be good. A 4x4 tray should grow 16 monsters.

The veg room can be long and skinny since you can use multiple cfls. If you stick with low heat bulbs in the veg area, it will not require as much cooling or dehumidfiying.

I would split the room at in half. 6x7 for the flowering room. The other room would have the entrance and a 3x7 veg area. The remaining 3x7 would be for walking and storage.

Just my opinion.
