First semi-stealth grow rooms

Hello RIU community. I'm attempting my first semi-stealth grow rooms. Before I have grown 3 times (hydro DWC bubblers) but usualy 1-3 plants at a time in the bedroom. For many obvious reasons besides the fact I want more yield I've decided to desinate seperate grow areas for my baby's.

I have been working on these rooms for about 3 weeks now. Hard to find time when working full time nightshift, and I love my sleep!

I considerate semi-stealth because both my roomies know about it and have a small participation in the project, but I may have relatives and/or unsuspect visitors in the future.

Some to most of the information I'm using has come from the RIU community and I'd like to thank each and everyone of you. But I would especialy like to thank Al. B. Fuct. since my grow shedule is a variation from his.

My veg room is 2' x 4' x 7'. I will also clone in here. I plan to have anywhere from 4-7 mothers at any given time including a controller bucket that feeds from a resivor in another room. At the moment I'll be using a 6" inline duct fan for exaust into the flower room which is the neighboring room. I'll use 4 double socket 4' T12 fixtures for mothers. (2 on the right are on a pulley system to allow for easy acces to mothers/equipment) Plan to start with 4 mothers so I ran 2 40-60 gal aqua culture air pumps with 1 line desinated to each bubbler. The room is wraped in 1 layer of 6mil black plastic, then a layer of 3/4" foamboard, and finaly a second layer of 6mil black plastic. Intake for this room come threw a 7" x 11" vent with a 11" x 11" filter on the inside made into the door. I ran 16" reflectix around the lighting area of the plants. Also in this room, but isnt used for this room, is a 65 liter/hour commerical air pump to run bubblers in flowering room mounted to the ceiling.

On to the flowering room. This room is 4' x 9' x 7'. The interior is identical to the veg room. (plastic, foam, plastic) It has 2 6" inline duct fans (cutousy of HTG) for intake. One from the veg room and 1 from the dark room (dark room is where my 3 resivoirs and possibly electronic balast will be located)

I've installed a 5500 BTU window unit in a pre-existing window for cooling purposes. I'll also be using bubblers and a controller in the flowering room. I will use a shedule similar to Al.B.Fuct with the exception that I'll run a 4 week shedule and probly a nute change every 2 weeks. I havn't decided on lighting yet except for the fact that I will be going electronic HPS. either 2-3 600W or 2 1k W's. Only reason I havn't decided this yet is because the existing room duct for ac/heat run's into this room and I rerouted it threw the room, over the ceiling and out of the flowering room.
Temporarly I have a double T12 fixture for lighting to be able to work as this room isn't totaly complete. For exaust I will be running a GrowBright 424 cfm fan with matching charcoal filter which will run inline with my lights eventualy. All electrical boxes to run these rooms have been pulled from a 60 Amp sub-panel to insure no power issues. Everything will run on 110 volts.

The dark room (unsure how I came up with the name) is 2' x 3 1/2' x 7' and will house my 3 resivors and probly my ballast. I have a vent same setup as veg room running threw this room then a 6" inline duct fan running from this room to the flower room. Still have alot of work to do in this small space.

I have my exaust fan/filter on order, and also ordered some mandala satori today from attitude. Can't wait to get r done!

Will post updates from time to time and more pictures to come. Fell free to give feedback or critisism.

Thanks for looking,
Blatrix

So many pictures and I didn't take the time to put in any special order so they are alphabeticaly ordered.

Just got to add ordering from HTGsupply has been a pure pleasure. Took some advice from some fellow RIU members and phoned them up to talk about thier digital lights. I decided on 600W digitals for now. Thier customer care and/or payment department is the greatest I've dealt with in this sort of business. He took off $120 on a $700 order, threw in free upgraded waranty since I was concerned about lifespan, and to top it all off, he processed my order with email verification within seconds of ending the call. A++ compared to others I have dealt with.

More pics to come soon!

Got a few more things done today while I impatiently await for my T-shirt. Made all 3 resivoir stands. Fitted 1 resivoir with fittings. Ran 1/2 PVC from dark room to veg/flower rooms that will link the controllers to the resivoirs. (1 for veg and 2 for flower room) Veg room is 99% ready for them Satori's.

I expect HTG order about Wednesday. Then I'll post more pictures.

When my Satori's arrive I'll start a grow journal in the appropriate topic and go more in detail about my setup/plans.

Anyone that has grown Satori Mandala before got any advise they don't mind sharing other than the obvious stated in product information? IE: nutes you used, yield per plant, brief enviroment for those yields, personal rating (1-10) on Satori smokage, and anything else you may want to add.

I like it. I just finished a cabinet but I'd like to eventually end up with a closet grow. Good luck and keep us posted.

Both orders came in this week. 10 Mandala Satori's with a free Dinafem California Hash femenised seed. Took exactly 1 week from Attitude. These guys rock. I'd definetly use them again. Put 5 Satori's into germination. Lets hope for 2-3 females.

HTG came threw with my 600W digi and Fan/can combo. I was worried at first because when I first got the light, I put it together and turn it on with no problems. After I set it up and tried to turn it back on it wouldn't come on. Finaly figured out that digital greenhouse ballast has a internal cooldown of about an hour before it will restrick the lamp. (atleast I hope) Ontop of the $67.00 I had already saved from calling in the order with HTG, I was upgraded bulbs due to "out of stock" of regular 600W HPS bulbs.

Went with the Grow Bright 6" inline fan combo (424 cfm) and must say this is a nice fan for the dollar. The filter was a bit dirty from carbon dust but a quick wipe took care of that. Its a bit loud but I havn't put a speed controller on it yet. With it on and the HPS on for bout 6 hours, everthing is cool to the touch.. even the hood!

Took 6 days from ordering to recieve HTG order. Saved about $120.00 by ordering threw phone and upgrades. Definetly an advisable Hydroponic resource.

Although My flower room isn't 100% complete I will be starting a grow journal in a week or two on the Satori's.

Had 3 bagseeds from some pretty good unknown smoke. They are 4 weeks Veg'd and first day into Flower room. No signs of "preflowers", and a small touch of nute burn on the bottom of 2. I gotta remember to go extremely light on nutes when under flourescents.

Few pictures of the goodies... :leaf:

Damn $200 with a carbon filter isn't bad. I see you're venting your light hood, does it have a glass cover by any chance?

If you deal with HTG I would advise calling them for great savings

Turns out the bulb must be bad. It burned for 12 hours no problem, but wouldn't fire again since. Ballast fan runs fine so I think the ballast isn't an issue. I called HTG up today, told them my issue and now they are sending me a Sunmaster replacement with 1 day air. Will be here Monday at the latest.

Saw some reviews about that the ballast causing some major RF interferance causing internet outages for miles. The night I ran mine I had no problems at all that I could tell. My computer is less than a foot away from my ballast too. The socket set that came with the ballast says RF digital socket set so iono if its was bad luck on thier part, faulty ballast, or user error. The ballast has very large stickers on both sides stating to use a surge protector for a reason I suppose. I guess some just enjoy the drama.
