First Real Grow- Full Moon *Feminized* and Nirvana Mystery Seed (With questions!)

Edit 04/04/2010
Please help me figure out the nutrient deficiency of my baby, which was once my best looking Full Moon!

Strange pale green and deformed new growth
(See attached pics 3-4)

Ordered 5x Feminized Full Moon seeds from Nirvana, came within 4 days in ultra concealed package with 10 Nirvana Mystery Seeds as a bonus gift. Attempted to germinate all 5 Full Moon and 5 mysteries in rockwool cubes, presoaked in a 5.5 pH solution for 24 hours. All germination attempts failed, due to either poor judgment with seed distance from the surface or over watering and thus, root rot.

Germed the 5 remaining mysteries via the old school zip lock baggie, paper towel in 2 plates method, and the 1 seed to sprout is the 1 you see in the pictures!

I wrote to Alice and they resent the initial order with great speed and out of the 5 new Feminized Full Moon that arrived, all sprouted. Unfortunately, 1 was retarded and had to be put to eternal rest R.I.P. lil' fren!
These survivahs are the 4 Full Moon you see in the pics.

PROPS TO NIRVANA!

Initially grew the Nirvana Mystery strictly with CFLs but soon expanded to a 400W MH/HPS capable reflector, and using the CFLs for supplemental.

All plants have been or will be topped via Uncle Ben's Topping Method after the formation of the 5th or 6th true nodes for a total of 4 dominant colas on each plant (found here: https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/151706-uncle-bens-topping-technique-get.html) The Nirvana Mystery responded very well except for 1 of the nodes that was just slightly retarded.. Full Moon will be topped and attempted to be cloned once they are ready as well.

In summary:

Lights

- 24/0 light schedule for veg, 12/12 flower
- 400W MH for veg, will switch to 400W HPS for flower
- Supplemental lighting with 42W 6500k CFLs for veg and 23W 3000K for flowering

Soil
- All plants in 3 Gallon Pots with drainage holes and catch trays
- FoxFarm Ocean Forest soil for the Full Moon, and Miracle Gro (painful, I know) for the Nirvana Mystery
- Both soils were mixed with 20% or less of Perlite, as well as a 2 inch layer of just Perlite in the bottom of the pots for improved drainage.

Ferts
- Maxicrop Liquid Seaweed, used sparingly and continuously since second week of plants' life.
- Full FoxFarm lineup of nutes (3 solubles, 3 liquid)
+ Have thus far only used Big Bloom and Grow Big, going for the Tiger Bloom and Open Sesame next watering for the Nirvana Mystery (If it proves female)

Watering
- Watering the 4 Full Moon with 2 quarts each, thoroughly at a pH of 6.5 water
- Watering the 1 Mystery Seed in MiracleGro with pH 6.8 water 3.3 quarts split in 2 instances 30 minutes apart.. some mild nutrient burn as a result as I have began adding FoxFarm ferts and liquid seaweed

Air

- Vornado fan for air circulation/cooling, keep temps comfortable in the closet

Odor Control

The 4 Full Moon sprouted on March 12th
The 1 Nirvana Mystery Seed sprouted on February 22nd

Here's some group shots of the babies (4 Full Moon, 1 Nirvana Mystery[bigger plant]):

Here's some sort of nutrient deficiency I need help with. I can't tell, and so far it's the only one of the 4 Full Moon that seems to be having this problem. They all have been fed with the same water at the same time (pH 6.5) Looks like it's affecting only the new growth, with lime green tips and curling/deformation of leaves:

Here's the nutrient burn of the Nirvana Mystery seed.. I think this guy is gonna be a male judging from the size of leaves and the height. Really sad, since it's the only 1 that germed out of the 10 seeds they sent me :( Just started it on a 12/12 schedule last night, 4/2 giving about 30 hours of darkness for the initial period based on something I read here: http://www.ministryofcannabis.com/blog/category/growing-tips/

Here are some other miscellaneous pics!

Enjoy guys, and I'll be keeping you posted. :bigjoint:

I topped that ailing plant at 5-6 nodes (even though they were a bit deformed) so let's see how the new growth starts.

Also, nubbed it up big time when I was holding the Mystery plant up and the pot cracked, and the plant fell out face first. It looks like a trooper though, slightly crooked and really thirsty so I'm about to feed it :D

I tried it (full moon), and had some weird stuff happen myself. I'm thinking they have some bad genetics on this one. Everything was going OK for 3 weeks with some deformed leaves on both plants. Both in DWC buckets. They just keeled over. Trimmed them up. Roots were starting to rot. Trimmed off the roots. One still in a bucket and put the other in some soil. They aren't growing much at all but are alive. Just seeing if they come around or if I'll pluck them and start over. They are fem seeds. Maybe I'll see if Alice will replace them. Only one I've had trouble with from them!
