First Plant

ok so this is my first plant and i have been in he flowering stage for a while. i have a 70w hps flood i got from home depot on it, a humidifier in the room on over 16 hours a day circulating air. The thing is taking forever. help please.
 
how long is forever? Some history of the plant may be useful. DOB, date flowering was started? Details are always helpful.

some plants take up to 8-10 weeks. It takes a while and this is why many first time growers chop their babies down to soon. When the white hairs have turned 3/4 brown/red then its time.
 
those hps flood lights that they sell at commercial hardware stores get really really hot, the plant could be some what cooked. idk pics r bad.
