First plant ever need help please

hey everybody, so im a newbie at growing MJ. I have two plants under my care and was needing some advice on what to do. so far they are really green and beautiful. ive only been using sun light, watering them on a schedule of twice a week, or whenever the top soil gets dry. basically i just need help on knowing when and how to prune the leaves so more nodes can apear. also im on a very tight budget. ive clipped a picture of each plant. please any help would be much appriciated

you say your using the sun, how much are they gettin as they are very stretched???

OK, so i have them in one window seal during the morning, and as they lean towards the light, i rotate them, after midday when the sun moves i take them to another window seal and repeat the process. is the plant being stretched a really bad thing to have happened?

If those things continue to grow, theyre gona be monsters!

Will give you some problems as you go on so yes it's a bad thing, they need more light!!!!!

so should i invest in a grow light? and how much do they usually run? i do not have a lot of money to spend.
