First PC GROW - Few questions while im waiting on Auto Seeds

I lined the whole pc in Mylar / reflector duct tape.. I have intake fan / outtake fan.. Weather temp gauge / TIMER everything I need just have a few questions!!!!!...

I have 4 23w / 100 watt? Mini CFL bulbs I know there is a veg stage and a flower stage but when I get my seeds and plant 1 in pot with soil what should I set my hrs on my timer for??????????? / also how long for veg?????????? Then what do I set my hrs to for flower?????????? SORRY! This is my first grow and I'm pretty sure these bulbs will work for both right?

check the forum in the cfl section and tie that lady down as it grows use pipe cleaners they call them fuzzy sticks and they cost 2 bucks at wall mart...also remember have fun and try too keep notes on what you do so you can learn from what you did ...have fun!!!!!
 
They are fine to start with, use 6500k color temp for veg. 2700 color temp if you decide to flower. Try and make some diy reflector with a lamp shade or cardboard or something.

well I don't know anything about 6500k color or any of that stuff just need to know about how long to leave them on can I just use the lights I have NOW for BOTH VEG AND FLOWER??????
 
CFLs have color temperature which describes the color of the lightbulb. MJ uses more blue light for veg, and more amber for flower so it's best to use 6500k CFLs for veg, and 2700k for flower. Pro-tip: to find the color temperature of the light bulbs you are thinking about purchasing, look at the box.

For flowering you definitely want to use high pressure sodium for nice dense buds... but if you must use CFLs, get as much 2700k wattage you can.

For veg run your lights 18/6, when you want them to start budding switch to 12/12.

this is what i am trying to tell him/her too! lol
 
For auto seeds I believe you can run 18-6 their entire life cycle since they will "autoflower" without 12-12 needed. If it needs 12-12 it's not autoflower. right?
 
Correct, the ones that need 12/12 are usually referred to as Photoperiod strains. Really you can grow an autoflower under any light schedule.
 
Okayyyy hell yeahhhh I think I understand now!!! so how long would you suggest veg stage for? because I dont want it to big for my pc box BUT I WANT IT BUSHY AS I CAN GET IT :) im happy this info makes since now!
 
Probably like 4-6 weeks, maybe less. If you get a lowryder strain, she will decide her veg time for you.

In a PC case I would probably just FIM at the 2nd or 3rd set of 3+ finger leaves for 4 tops and flower once she's 9-12 inches tall... if it starts getting too big you can do stuff like LST and super cropping. But wrap your head around how to grow a bean first.

I just noticed the title said auto seeds in it. So just leave the lights at 18/6 I think... I've never grown auto though so not sure.
 
sweet okay well Iv got everything ready just waiting on seeds im doing a dry run for a few hrs to see what temps are what is a good temp to stay at?
 
I cant afford VEG lights sooo im going to keep the whole grow 18 6 untill harvest with 3 2700k bulbs no other choice..
 
what kind of auto seeds ur waiting for?im just wondering because i want to make pc grow box but i dont know what kind of seeds fits pc box.
