First outdoor grow - QLD, Australia

Sup guys,

First time grower (and poster) here.
I probably should of started a grow diary for this journey... it's been pretty exciting, but just too paranoid for that yet I guess.
Have a few q's

Got some Old Timer's Haze (ace seeds) ordered from Attitude. Pretty dodgy stealth in the tshirt, but whatever, they arrived, and I got no knock on the door yet from the piggies so I guess I'm sweet. Awesome strain from what I read, but very slow growing.
I've got about 10 originals that survived my inexperienced mistakes at the start and they are flourishing as well as another 10 clones that are also flourishing and growing really fast (planted the seeds at the end of November).
Main questions relate to stealth. How best to cover these? I've got them in amongst my garden at the moment, which is pretty big. I'm on acreage so I have a lot of land to work with. In the garden I have a variety of plants... corn, tomatoes etc.
Is it best in my situation to keep them concentrated in this garden, surrounded/hidden in amongst my other plants? (I hear the cops have cameras that can sense the heat signature?), or spread them around the whole yard, having each plant far from the other? (have substantial amount of land to do this).

The other big question I haven't found the answer to after plenty of time searching in multiple forums (including this one), is about cloning in QLD. Due to the nice weather here, is it possible to clone indefinitely, having a perpetual outdoor grow all year round? Or will the clones inevitably flower at the same time as the parents regardless of their size as they are the same genetic makeup?
Essentially I think an indoor grow is too risky at this point until I'm properly set up so I want to keep it all outdoors for now. I don't want to rely on seeds because that's risky as well.

The other question I have is... I ordered a bunch of seeds to my home address at around December (stupid I know) and they got nabbed by customs I guess. No letter or anything though. It was 15 seeds. Reordered when they didn't show up (stupider I know), and nothing... Can I expect a knock on the door, or some aerial surveillance because of my carelessness here?

I might be over paranoid, but better to be safe than sorry.

Plus, any extra stealth tips for outdoors? I've heard corn/tomatos, even taping fake flowers to them. These Sativas will grow quite tall... they're already as tall as me.
The hardest part is limiting myself. It is so damn easy to clone these things, and they grow so damn easily. I could probably put out another 30 if I wanted to haha. Tempting, but I'm not that stupid. It's mostly just personal grow and to share with mates anyway.

Thanks guys!

I'll post pics later. They look sexy indeed. Have some random freeby seed (forgot what it is and didn't label it) as well. It's indica I guess, based on the leaves and height. Already flowering/budding and might be ready to pick soon.

Well welcome Andy did you order the seeds that didn't show up from attitude?I wouldn't know anything bout cause I just grow bagseed. So they have already started growing I would grow some plants that look similar such as Okra, papaya,or ricinus communis....castor oil plant, if you want to keep your plants small then top them.I don't what the season or weather is like in australia but if you could clone I guess it would work.Did you know you can use honey as a rooting hormone saw a video not as many roots but still works if your on a budget but id you do clone just make sure they have enough humidity.I'm looking foward to some pics since they are already in action.Keep us updated peace

Yeah, ordered them and didn't show up, so I assume they've been nabbed by customs, but I've also read that there are many thieves in the Brisbane postal sorting center, so who knows lol. It's weird I didn't get a letter... I also read stories of how the filth will rock up 3 months later knocking on the door. I just hope they can't get a warrant for this. :p

Funny you mention, I already have heaps of Okra planted in and around them :), as well as papaya. Cheers for the tip about honey, but it's pretty sweet deal we have here where cloning powder cost only $3 a packet from bunnings :). I'm already 10/10 on clones, and did another 5 just before as well. Basically what I'm doing is chopping the stems off, slicing at a huge angle, skinning it further until it's basically a sharp point, and then rolling in powder and planting them in normal seedling mix under a humidity dome. With this method they don't even droop. I think the trick is to put them straight in water after cutting and don't expose to air. I'm thinking because my plants are so bushy and cloning apparently is so easy, I'll just cut as many as I can and simply plant them way down in the bush somewhere and leave em to do their thing.

Will take pics tomorrow morning and post em. I have one finishing (diff strain) and the hazes are still veg as they take ages to flower apparently... 18-24 weeks of veg according to attitude 0.0.

Haha funny point my mate made about the okra. They look so much like weed from a distance that choppers might just think I have more weed :p.

Ahaha yeah thats true.Well it sounds like you know how to clone, I have never tried to but your doing it right.Whatever you do don't answer the door for them if they do stop by.I wish you the best of luck and I'm looking foward to those pics I will even post a pic of my babies they aren't even a week old and they are already getting there 3rd set of leaves. That sativa though will grow long and tall

Cheers bro. Nice work on your seedlings. I remember mine definitely had a slower start... I think because of the heatwave we were having and I put them outside too soon.

Yeah the haze isn't showing signs of stopping it's height lol even after I've topped it a couple times already... which is both good and bad I suppose. If it gets too tall I'll probably hide it under a mango tree or something (heard that works). Any idea on how much yield I might get from old timer's haze?... I'd be happy with half a P.

I get paranoid everytime I hear a chopper overhead haha. Probably just first grow jitters.

Hey man im down in melb growing some outdoorys myself, for stealth I have used the lst approach which has kept them to about 4 foot but turns them into a nice bush also it makes them almost un recognizable as mj plants so that might be an idea for you,.
As far as paranoia goes the cops are frequently flying right over my back yard and no dramas, that thing you read about heat signatures is bullshit they are looking for indoor crops.
Growing only a few plants I would think they have better things to do, they are looking for the big fish not small personal growers like yourself.

Goodluck with your grow

Cheers bloke. Yeah I just looked up LST method. Sounds legit. Too late to do that with the big ones now, but I might start on the clones.

Yeah, it seems as though outdoor is actually safer than indoor haha. I just spent a lot of cash on a hydro setup as well :p. Eventually the plan is to bring it all inside, but I need to save up money to get it thermally insulated and solar powered etc. first.

Good luck with your greens as well

Sativa Haze is probally gonna be well worth the wait. That uplifting body high,as long as it doesn't look too noticible but I didn't know you could top more than once interesting... you should yield more I guess but it would take longer to produce more buds
