Bud Porn!!!!

View attachment 1315877View attachment 1315878View attachment 1315879Day 65 025.jpgView attachment 1315881

So, I have a few questions. Why oh why did the pistle hairs turn red/purple so early? They turned in like the 4th wk of flower or so. Does that seem weird to anyone? I think that it's beginning to form bigger buds, something is growing on those nugs lol. I guess that things are calyxes? And they swell in the last few weeks? When do I know when to stop nutes? Can I expect my buds to keep growing some more? Is it too early to take a nug to try out? I would suppose it is, since I really don't want to chop her yet lol. Ain't that funny lol. I want to smoke her right now, but I don't want to cut her down, at all :( Since I'm smoking this nasty brown weed, I could really use some good green! Haven't had any gooood green in 2 years! No joke. But I think if I taste her now, I might get impatient. As it is, right now I am pretty patient, because I don't want to chop her, I want her to keep grow grow growing!! lol.

Question? When I nute, I have only been using about 1 tablespoon. For about 3/4 of a gallon of water. I give the plant the whole 3/4 gallon. The instructions on the FF BB bottle (at 1/3/7) call for 4 tablespoons. So have I not been giving the plant enough nutes? Could that be why the leaves are dying? BB is very low on N. I should have used a veg. nute to start with, and then when I switched to 12/12, started using BB. So tonight, I gave it 3 tablespoons (well, 3 capfuls) of BB. Will see. Also, I get a ton of runoff it seems. Is that normal? I was thinking the water would stay in the soil a bit better. But when I water, I get about half of the water in there, and it starts to pool up on the top of the soil. Then it comes running out the bottom. Could I possibly be overwatering? I water about every 3 days. The thing is, I don't water until the leaves look droopy. And that's usually about every 3 days. I nute every other watering. Any help/advice would be appreciated. I would hate for my plant to die at this point, she is just starting to bud out, and actually beginning to have a smell to her that smells oh so good.

Hey allforit, the leaves naturally start dying as the plant nears the end of it's life cycle. If you could post a bigger pic of the full plant it would make helping a lot easier. The pics I saw earlier looked like you had a pH issue with the really thin clawing leaves--do they still look like that?

Lovin the color of your bud though, those pink pistils are awesome.

h&p, yes, the leaves still look that way, only worse. My plant used to be incredibly bushy. If you check back through my journal, you can see this massive change in the plant. It's horrible. I didn't think much of it at first, to my detriment. Now I am wishing I started my grow with a pH meter in hand. Here are today's pics:

Archminister, I am not sure on the weeks left. I been counting the weeks since I turned the lights to 12/12, and it's been 8 wks and about 2 days. If I count when the first signs of sex started showing, I am at about 6 wks or so. So, I am not sure. I have idea if this is a sativa or indica, to be honest. It's bagseed. Thanks for stopping by! I do like the color of the pistles, deep purplish/red. very cool lol.

Another problem arose today. I posted some pics of a bud I think is dying. It's pics 10 and 11 for sure. The pistles are dying off I think. They are getting real skinny and dead looking. What do I do with that? Do I cut it off? Dry and smoke it? Is it maybe just too close to the lights, somehow? I don't know what to do. I'm so confused.

And my soil is still really moist. It's been 2 days since I watered it, and it's still moist on top. That's abnormal for this plant. usually 2 days after watering the top soil is dry. so she is not even taking up water at this point or what? Should I flush this plant again?

Sorry been busy but dude that plant obiously is deficient in either potash or potassium I can't remember which so knocking up the big bloom was probably a good idea, next for watering rig up a water cannon by putting some small holes in the cap of water bottle it helps second don't water to quickly the soil is had been watered so many times that it's condensed and is not sucking up the water like it use to be.

Hello! I have some better pics today, Day 12. I could not get any to show hairs, but I like the pics i took, they show some good stuff I think. I hope everyone is doing well. I wish well on all my RIU folks. I took some pics today when the lights came on. I hope these are some decent pics.

HippySmoke! Glad to see ya! Thanks for the input and the advice! I will do that. I would normally water tonight, but not going to. The pot is still heavy. I am glad I gave her the big nute then the other day. I think I didn't feed her enough nutes in some way. Because I was using about half strength, I think. I didn't realize it called for 4 TBS per gallon. I was using about 2 for 3/4 gallon..somewhere in that range. Or is it a half gallon water can? I have no idea lol. Anyway, she is looking a bit better, I can tell that for sure. She ain't ain't out of the woods yet of course, still looks like crap, but better than it did 2 days ago!! For sure. I am also using triple osmosis filtered water now. I think it's helping. The really really good stuff. I think I will pH it tonight, see if it's at 7 like I think it is. I might even try the pH test again with the aquarium kit with the runoff when I water it next. Just to see what it looks like. I am getting a pH this week. Well, ordering it this week. Can't find a single darn one in my area, not even for jacuzzi's or nothing. So gotta order one. Know any good sites to order from? Like, good reputable sites? I was thinking of getting one off of Bulk Reef Supply. It's 20 bucks. Would one of those half way cheap ones do the job?
I was going to post pics tonight, but my batteries died on my camera, and apparently I have no more new ones. Used up the whole 8 pack already lol. Or was it 16? Not sure. But a lot of them lol. El Cheapies. I'm kinda bummed, I really wanted to. Maybe I can get the right program for my cell, so I can post pics there? Or try to email one to myself? hmm.
Anyway, i'm rambling. I'm going to go check out whatever grow U got going on right now lol.

I think I see part of the issue. Check out this link: http://www.greenmanspage.com/guides/plant_abuse.html
I think I have a Calcium overdose, and it's causing the plant to not pick up enough Potash and Magnesium. I have very weird water here, lots of calcium deposits come through my faucets. And I don't let it set for a day either, like I should. It has chlorine in it too, I am sure. It's possible I overdid the calcium, which affects other things. My pH might be ok. Maybe. Sorta. Damn. I don't know. You all know what I been doing 24/7 for the last few weeks? Beating my head against the wall, trying to figure this out lol. This is my plant, my baby, my focus. I can't sleep, don't want to eat. all I want to do is fix my plant. I almost drove 150 miles or so one way, to buy a pH meter. But common sense won out. Gas, food, time, etc. Cheaper by far to order online.
So, since I read that article, I can understand it more now that my plant looks healthier today. No more tap water for me. Only that triple osmosis filtered water. Since I been using that, my plant looks 10% better.

Here is today's update. I bought batteries!! So took some pics of course! Here they are. I am hoping these show a bit of the problems it's having. I tried to take more pics of leaves than bud. I didn't water her tonight, the container still feels halfway heavy. So I think tomorrow she will get 1/2 nutes and water. I need to keep feeding her. I think. I might do a flush again this weekend. I probably will. It can't hurt. Not sure when I will stop nutes. I checked trichs last night, still no amber ones that I can see. Which is good. I want the buds to get bigger. They are pretty small.

The second picture is the stem right below a main cola. Normally, under good conditions, would this area be basically one big bud? Like, top of the cola to the bottom of that mass of buds? Just curious.

homer371, thanks for stopping by! And the compliment! I can't wait for the buds to fill out more.

Today's update. Had to pick off a few dead leaves. I'm not taking them off unless they are totally dead. Otherwise, let the buds get as much nutrients from them as possible. Checked the runoff pH tonight as well, it was between 7.2 and 7.6. Still too high, according to the aquarium test strips. But lower than it was the one day, at 7.8. I am watering with triple osmosis filtered water. No nutes tonight. Let her have straight water. Pics:
dec 16 2 003.jpgdec 16 003.jpgdec 16 2 002.jpgdec 16 005.jpgdec 16 2 006.jpgdec 16 001.jpgdec 16 2 004.jpgdec 16 2 001.jpgdec 16 2 005.jpgdec 16 2 009.jpgdec 16 2 007.jpg

I used 2 different camera setting for these pics. I like the second setting better. I am thinking of switching my light schedule. To 10/14. If I do, I will do 11/13 then 10/14. Don't want to shock her, but want her to process those buds. More dark might help. Make it seem winter instead of fall to her, and see if she grows faster. Technically, she should. All things being equal. Which they never are. Especially not with my pH issue. And the fact I didn't give her the right nutes during veg. Live and learn, grow bud, smoke bud, be nice to people. That's a good motto.

well all, Estella is looking worse for wear this morning. I watered her last night, and this morning, she is looking down right peaked. Looks horrible. Almost all the trim leaves are yellow. Should I chop her down? Or keep her up? I will post pics tonight when I get home.
