This is my first Grow Journal, and my first real attempt at growing my own medicine(I say 'real' because the first time I tried I ended up being unable to physically take care of it). Having run out of other medicinal options I'm looking to do my own extensive research as to the correlative effects of individual strains and methods of cultivation, on a large list of ailments stemming from several syndromes perpetuated by unknown diseases/viruses.

(The medical world is still incompetent on the subjects of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, Fibromyalgia, and Myofascial Pain Syndrome)

Here are the Specifications of the grow!

- I'll be useing Fox Farm 3 part hydro solution.

- Bag seed: Before I use my medicinal quality Indica (best for Chronic Pain/muscle spasisticy) I'll be starting with crap bag seed to make sure the system works without risking my quality seeds.

- 250W Hortilux Blue Metal Halide bulb will be used for this grow. (I know should use 400 watts for this set up but Im beyond broke with medical debt) It will be connected to a cool tube to reduce heat. Heat will be my biggest fear for this grow.

- I'll be useing a flooded tube design using 2 inch pvc pipe with a total of 27 feet of flooded pvc in 3 verticly stacked rows lining the walls.

- 3' X 3' is the size of the grow area!

- 27 plants is the maximum load

-The key is that Each plant still gets 1 square foot of grow room all to its self! Thats right, 27 square feet of grow room inside a 3'x3' room, all with EQUAL light exposure!!!

- My inspiration for this grow is from https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/149998-heaths-flooded-tube-vertical.html

My next post will have pictures showing my progess. This will NOT be a "How To" journal, i'll explain what I have done, but not how I did it. (I rely on other people to help me for alot of this physical work)

This is the general set up for the grow. In the middle of this will be hanging a 250 watt Hortilux blue MH.

Here is also a picture of my first attempt to grow when they were 14 days from seed.

oh my god... Flojo is going to love this..... Mad props... plus rep thank you so much... Do you have blue prints or can you show us how you constructed this beautiful art piece

I have some mendo myself

If you need any help just ask me... I wish I could give you a couple of my lights... If you go to a electric supplier, You can buy 400 mh for about 50 bucks

Thanks for your comments!

For this build I used 2 inch pvc pipe as it was alot cheaper then the 3 or 4 inch, and I am planning on growing very small plants without gigantic root structures.

I'll be using 2 inch flexible net cups filled with hydrotron and and a small 1 inch rockwool cube that i'll germinate the seeds in untill I start cloning.

I'll be flooding the tubes with a 396GPH pump running from the res to the top pipe. As the pump continues to flood the tubes i have small plastic disks in the drop down tubes with a small hole cut so i can adjust the flood levels with my finger. I'll take a picture of this later tonight so it makes sense.

I'm living on borrowed money anyways, so after the first grow I'll find a way to get a 400 watter if everything is running smooth and it will save me money in the long run... which it will definitely will.

That Mendo looks sick! I'm so glad that you had pictures of it to show me! I'll be excited to hear how the smoke is :D I'm really looking forward to doing my own breeding and strain classification based on medicinal effects. What kind of set up do you have on that Mendo? I'd like to know what to expect :)

I dont understand a 2 in net pot fitting in a 2 in pipe... but what the hell I will follow this thread...

good luck, sorry to hear about your medical problems, but luckly you'll have bud

very si9mple set up cost me almost nothing... I spent 20 cents on each 3 gallon grow bag... the only thing I spent money on is my nutes... I use botanicare problend flower, fofarms tigerbloom, HC purplemaxx, pro-teck, magi-cal, and mollasses, and I already had the lights and the air pumps... I use a hand made steel building siding as the table on a slant that drains into a res just by gravity... I run 12 strains and usually breed but didn't have any males this go... IDK? how.. I used mostly clones though.. Her is a couple pics

oh yeah I use a 400 mh and 600 watt hps but have three 400 mh's not in use

I use the 2" FLEXIBLE net cups, this way i can just shove them in the oval shaped holes.

Great looking plants. I'd be happy to take one of those 400watters off your hands, You don't happen to live near in the mid west do you? :)

I'll be working on my setup this week once I can get my pain script filled, and i'll be posting lots of pictures.
