whats up people... I havent updated in a while, been pretty busy with schoolwork

these pretty ladies are just exploding with new potential bud sites everyday and im starting to see some alternating nodes

I have been ghetto bending them to try and control the height of these guys hence the strings you see

i cant wait for the flowering to begin!

damn its been a while since i updated....
sooooo, good news and bad news, good news is that flowering is goin good, sexed em a few days ago and i ended up with 3 females out of six, which brings me to the bad news that all of the island sweet skunks were male (blows a fat one). i just chopped 2 of them and im gonna let the other one chill for a week or so and gather some pollen. my buddy from across the way is goin to let me pollinate some of his great white sharks and were gonna have a bit of a trade off for some future dankness, but anyway, ill update in a few days with some pics of these bad boys when there is actually something to look at.

had a little hiccup with the light schedual that i didnt notice until about 8-9 days in to the 12/12, light leaking through the window, so its hard to judge just how long they have been in flowering, my guess is 2-2.5 weeks, but now all is good and back on track and lookin tasty

you shoulda seen the monster skunk plant i had before it turned male on me, i called it goliath, things was a beast, like 7 or 8 tops and it was at least 4' tall haha. pissed me off chopin it down but o well

o yea, shits been stankin since they were like 8 inches tall.. im gonna have to get some kind of serious odor control goin pretty quick, they're some stanky for sure.
The big ones have a bit of skunk smell but a little more spicy than fruity right now ( i think this will change tho, i just have a feeling) I gotta figure out what this strain is, or at least think of somethin to call it, any suggestions? The kush has got a more earthy/spicy stank too but not quite as pungent at this point in time.

....but you cant smell a damn thing on the main floor which is good. Unless i leave the door open

so in all my plants i had 2 fucking pollen sacks that opened and polinated basically all of the lower branches on all my fuckin plants. i found like 3 or for others that haqdnt opened yet and just cut those branches too.what do i have to do to just get some goddamn females.

i choppped all of the polinated branches just so they dont waste energy. my fuckin luck right. makes me just want to chop the whole damn thing down.

at least the top nugs werent harmed in the process

i dont think so, ive sealed up all the windows and everything ever since that first week... i think it will b ok now, after choppin the branches that showed hermie traits, the plants still look dank as fuck from about halfway up, i probably only lost about 25% of the total harvest at most since the ones that were polinated were mostly the little stringy side branches, so its not too bad.

Im already workin on gettin some female clones from a couple buddies back in my home town so next time i wont have to worry about the males and hermies (hopefully)

thats cool just watchout for the nanners that may try and form...ive heard you can just pick them off and it will be fine.

ok, i think that i have a guess as to the strains of these "mystery plants" but im not 100% positive, a little background info would come in handy i think,

so i have been gettin my nug from the same dude for about 7 or 8 years now, he used to grow the dankest bud in the whole damn state but has stopped in the recent years- but we still get steady supply from his other grower buddies, the stuff from my junior year in HS is still legend around here, it was a cross between sweet maple leaf and WW. so anyway- when he had to wrap up his grow op he passed some of his genetics over to these buddies and they have been cross breeding and what not with these strains for years. every once in a while i would get a nug that smelt like that maple WW and of course i would keep it. i remember a time in the last year when i had picked up a few oz's that had been lightly polinated for a cheap ass price as long as i returned the seeds(and got reimbursed for the weight) I beleive it was some grape ape or sumthin like that- smelled like grape popsicles. but in that bag i found a nug of some syrup smellin bud and it had like 2 seeds in it- this is what i beleive to be my untopped mystery plant= everytime i rub a leaf and smell my fingers it straight wreaks like maple syrup and a little bit of blueberry or grape- so maybe it is a cross of the grape with some sort of maple cross???

the topped mystery plant is different, it is lighter green and def has some kind of that ISS in its genetics, im not sure how much but i know that smell and it is def an ISS cross- with what i am not sure

sorry for the extended story- i was just excited that i figured out where that seed came from (funny how a smell can trigger memories like that)
