First LED Grow...Need Help Before I Start

Greetings,

First of all I will be starting my first Indoor LED Grow. I plan to buy all necessary equipment after I speak to the community about what is best.

First I will be using a Gorilla Grow tent 3x3.
LED will be from http://www.hydrogrowled.com/EXTREME-LED-Grow-Lights-C60.aspx

Now im not sure on how many plants I should put in the tent and in how many pots or should I put them in one square pot to fill the tent. How many plants for best yield?

Second which light should I be using. Would buying the 336x-Pro 500 be useless or over the top or should I buy a smaller one? Does anyone have any experience with this company of LED grow lights.

I use PRO Mix HP for Soil, but what fertilizer and nutrients do you suggest for maximum growth.

Last question is. Should I grow 1 Plant or several in this 3x3 tent? Which will give greater yields?

Strain is Cotton Candy from MJ Seeds all feminized.

Let me know.

Regards

I would not recommend hydro grow LED, they are overpriced, and under perform.
The company also has a long, sorted, and shady, history.
I would recommend Area 51, or Apache Tech, LED lights.
Both of those companies are top pf the line, with good warranties, and excellent customer service.
If you don't believe me, come check out the LED section of RIU, and read for yourself.

Thanks for the info I'll check them out that's for the info. What wattage would you suggest for a 3x3 or per plant? Would growing a big plant or several plants be better for yield? May increase tent size just wondering

You're welcome, sir.
With LED's, it's not so much about their wattage, but their efficiency.
For example, Area 51 uses top of the line Cree diodes, in their panels.
Generic Ebay/Amazon LED lights use low quality diodes, which don't last long, and aren't very efficient.
So a 150W Area 51 LED can actually get you a better yield than a generic 250W LED panel, especially if you're use to rock hard, HPS nugs.
As for a 3x3 tent, I'd recommend two of A51's RW-150 LED light (300W total).
If you go up to a 4x4 tent, then grab four of the RW-150's, and it's party time (600W total).
Four RW-150's will replace a 1000W HPS, so 600 efficient LED watts can legitimately replace the old 1000W HPS standard.
As for the grow style, I prefer multiple, medium sized plants, to one big monster bush.
It helps cut down on veg time, and decreases chances of bud rot, by giving you lots of good sized colas, instead of a few monster buds, too thick for their own good.

My tent is similar sized. i grow 3-4 plants under a A51 SGS160. Yield would improve with more light but I don't have stretch issues.

do not put them all in one pot.

I am within 7 days of harvesting using a BML SPYDR 600, which has an actual 3 x 3 foot print.

SPYDR consists of 6 x 3ft bars (45 @ 3w Osram diodes per bar) which can slide on the 3ft spine (also each bar can be tilted), great for providing max light to smaller veg foot print

Click on my link. Just posted new pics. $999. US made
