First Journal - Stealth PC Case CFL Grow

I decided to grow in a PC case because of the current living situation. Don't have alot of room, so where I grow has to be super stealth.

Gutted an old web server that I acquired years ago from my old high school. It measures 22 1/2in L x 17 1/2in W x 25in H.

Grow room uses passive intake with 3 x 92mm 43 cfm exhaust fans and 1 x 140mm 60cfm fan in room to move air around.

The lights are 5 x 27w 5000k CFL's for veg (all they had available when I was looking will be replacing with 6500k when I get the money) and 5x 26w 2700k CFL's for flower.

For the grow medium I'm using Fox Farms Ocean Forest, money is tight so no nutes for now but FFOF has enough for the amount of time I will be vegging. Flowering nutes I will probably use an organic tea maybe some bat guano/molasses tea.

Grow is currently 3 days from sprout.

Any suggestions/comments welcome.

i cant tell by the picture, but if you dnt have your plants already close to the light.. put them close to the light to prevent stretching, IN a PC Case, you dont wanna sacrafice any legth with stem.. you want nodes, which are bud spots. to do this, keep the plants 2 inches away from the light max. be careful to moniter how close the leaves get to the light, or they will burn like mine did today, but thankfully it was barley damaged. To increase the amount of bud you get, i suggest lsting. search around on the site on how to LST. or look at my grow journal (; i love to help pc growers, i did it once, but it was cut short...

i would mount the fan higher and have a small vent at the bottom on the oppisite side of the fan this will draw hot air out and coller co2 rich air across the plant, also be prepared to deal with the smell/odor.

It all looks good so far i mentioned a few simple things to make a good setup better.

Thanks, yeah its about 2-2 1/2 in away right now, will be LST the plant once its big enough. Been doing alot of research to absorb as much as I can, I'll check out your pc grow when I'm not high (that way I can remember reading it lol)

Thanks not sure I'll be able to modify it for this grow, but it was something I was already thinking about changing once this grow is finished.

haha i used to have a pc grow, but not anymore lol. never had a thread for it. right now im growing auto ak47, white widow, and citrus kush.

Well its growing good as far as I can tell it about doubled the size it was yesturday.

With it getting colder here I am able to keep my temps a little lower still in the 80's but at about a constant 82.9F (Lights On), Temps at night still getting around 72F-73F (Lights Off).

Haha that's good temp for a pc. It can usually get got because it is such a small space. Anyways, your plants are looking healthy. It's all good, they grow super slow the first few days, but once 2 weeks in, they will be growing like crazy.

Thanks, lol yeah its my first grow so I was a little paranoid I think on how slow its been growing. That feeling is passing, getting a little bigger each day, leaves are green and its standing tall.

If you want my advise dude i would put a little dome over your seedling.

Correct me if i'm wrong but the 2 fans are probably making the climat dry as hell

Thanks, I was going to but its growing pretty well, I've seen a good jump in growth each day. The soil is slightly moist still but will probably get watered again tomorrow. Humidity is running about 45%-47%.

Next grow I will probably use domes but just didn't have one around nor had the extra cash to buy something to make one lol.

i cut up a 2L bottle and it worked perfectly, but if its growing fine and your ok with it, you do not have to listen to me

LOL, well I probably won't use it next time I will use that next grow to help it along. Thanks btw I didn't even think of a 2L bottle.

Well just checked in on the baby and I'm starting to see some new growth forming in the center finally. Snapped a few pictures of its progress so far today.

I don't think I've said previously but lighting schedule for veg is 18/6 and will run 12/12 once it gets to the height I'm looking for

Thanks, yeah looks to me like its a primarily Indica strain. Its just some bag seed from some mids, if it turns up to be male I have some medicinal seeds that a friend got from out in Colorado.

Thats what I'm hoping for, and with the 1 plant mean I can veg a little longer since I have the room and nothing else fighting for light. Will be LSTing this plant so I'm hoping to get as many tops as I can get before switching to flower cycle.
