First Indoor Grow

I have a couple clones and seedling for my first grow. My clones are Golden Strawberries (Strawberry Banana X Kosher Kush), Juicy Critical ( Juicy Fruit X Critical Mass) and Acapulco Gold (Unknown genetics, sativa dominant) and a random sort of good medical seeds with a known Juicy Fruit in the bunch. This is my venture into growing, having one previous little grow with little success thanks to conditions of the closet I was using. Now I am using a 1000w MH for veg and going to be using 1000w HPS for flower. I have the upstairs of my house split into two rooms but only running one until the funds hit the card. Just trying to find advice from novice growers and to help me reach the fullest potential for my girls an I lol. I am running Elite nutrients and am currently only in week 3 of veg and have been topping them since I've got them (clones). I will post pics when people ask. Currently haven't fed them nothing besides root ignitor with their watering. I planned on doing a feeding tomorrow just didn't have any idea if I should or not...

Well sounds like enough proper lighting. I would only top them twice, 2 weeks apart. Let them go another 2 weeks veg then switch to flower 12/12. With a good ph'd nutes. Don't over water, weed doesn't mind being on the dry side before next feedings. Keep your girls happy and they will keep you happy after harvest!:bigjoint:

How often should I feed? As of now I was only gonna feed the two bigger clones til the Acapulco got a little bigger but when is the right time to start feeding my girls? I'm feeding with a 1 gallon mix so would half a gal work with each or?

I have a golden strawberry I hunted from a 12 pack. Shes a low yielder but the terps on her remind me of Gold Coast strawnana cut so i kept her around. post some pics!

I am working in promix mixed with a bag of peat moss. I have ph meter running around 6.1. I'm following my feed chart with Elite for the ppm and I also have one of those.

Like I said before tho, I've only been giving root ignitor the last two watering but I'm going to feed them tomorrow afternoon.

Get into a mindset of growing roots. Good healthy roots.....Accomplish this by fighting off the urge to keep the mix too WET..... Must give the roots a chance to exchange gasses.
Stay the course.
The first deficiency you will face is patience.

Totally man, I was under the impression that if you stick your finger in soil inch deep and it's dry, water? Or am I mistaken? I'm watering every 3-4 days now

IMO lifting the pot is the best way to see if they are dry lift before watering if it’s light than water than lift again to see what the difference is so u can get a general idea of the weight .. As far as feeding in my schedule I’d water feed feed water feed water feed feed and so on ....

Ya I've also done that, guess I'm still trying to find what works best lol and thank you for the advice on feeding cuz I've been totally lost on that, as in when to start feeding and if half a gal of nutes for each was enough or if I needed to feed each a gal or what. Any suggestions?

I was taught that a 1/4 or 1/5 of your soil volume.. Like myself I have 11 gallons of soil so I use 2 gallons of water to feed them when I do the plain PH’d water I use 2 gallons and a quart of water to give them a mini cleanse in between the feedings... That’s what works for me but u can use others techniques to see what works for you

I have 5 gallon smart pots so you suggesting doing a gallon each? I usually don't have any run off, don't know if I should as I've read that most growers do. Just trying to figure out what'll work better than what I've been doing lol not that my girls are looking too bad tho:weed:

They look good to me ... Just keep doing what your doing .. If u ain’t giving nutes I can’t see why u need too much run off.. Giving them the amount of water I give them I usually have a little run off .. now after I’ve been giving nutes a couple days I like to see a descent amount of run off too make sure I ain’t building up salt in there but remember if u get a lot of run off u will be taking all your nutes out of the soil, it’s a tricky situation but for the most part u seem to be doing a good job... What strain is it are they autos or photoperiods?? what soil is that also???
