First Indoor Grow (overwatering? overfeeding? deficiency?)

Hello all, I'm currently working on (3) Northern Lights x Blueberry & (3) White Widow x Yumbolt#2, (1) GDP, and (1) unknown bag-seed.

They're under a 600w Hortilux w/ Yield Master reflector & Lumatek Ballast w/ mylar and infinite breeze fan. 19 hour days, 5 hour nights.

All are in about 3.2 gallon pots.

They've been in soil under light for about 2 weeks now.

Temps are sitting around 70degrees thru out the day and maybe 68 lowest during night.

I'm using Sensi Grow at 50% strength right now. i fed sensi 2 times so far. each time about 5 days apart.

And ive also fed each plant a little bat guano and kelp meal to keep it nice and healthy.

I plan on flushing every 4 weeks, and so far ive watered about every 2-3 days

Although. I'm experiencing some leaf drooping and yellowing. And im not sure if the drooping is just because its new growth, or if im over feeding/ over watering/ or maybe a calcium or magnesium deficiency.

Here's some pix of the babies that are concerning me.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

thanks, Cannifornia:leaf:

Hey, it looks to me, in the 2nd and fourth pic that the plant needs water.
Also this is just my opinion, and im sure others will tell you differently, but when giving my plants nute, I switch every other watering with nutes and without.

So monday I would water the plants with nutes, then come around wensday or thursday I would water with pure water, no nutes. and continue that cycle.

All from clones. they were pretty streched when i got them. They are actually filling in more. havent grown vertically very much. they are about 1 foot from light and any closer the plants on the side wont really get light. I water about 3 times a week. each plant gets about 125ML...(water bottle is 500ML) so im not watering too too much.

and ya the first 2 times i applied my sensi grow...was Sunday morning. and the next time was Wednesday morning. I was thinking of doing this pattern..

feed, feed, water, feed feed, water. giving each feed like 3 or 4 days break.

but i think feed, water, feed, water will play it more safe.

Do you guys see any CAL or MAG deficiencies though?

or will my plants kinda balance out over the next few weeks>?

More light homie. More light.

I think the nutrients are within reason. You're in soil, and those are some really small plants. Just water them until you get some plant mass that can utilize the nutes.

fasho. ya its a 600w EYE hortilux hooked up to a lumatek ballast

but, my room is 3ftx5.5ftx7ft.

so my 90K lumen light that is covering around 16sq ft and 1 1/2 feet away from plants COULD be the prob...

I should just buy another 600watter and grow some fatty nugs lol

thanks for help guys

any other advice or tips?? greatly appreciated.

The bulb might be old... maybe...

I dunno. Those don't look 600w strong to me. More like fluorescent lighting.

its brand new. bought it on bghydro.com

reliable source. doubt its used. i think its cuz i used 60% nutes at such young stage? and maybe i should water more

Think you've a bit of a Nitrogen problem, notice the leaf tips curling under and the leaves yellowing from the bottom up?

Ok wow feeding nutes 2 times a week n.g. and 2 weeks is to young for nutes, someone said on last page to just water them till they get more full and i agree,i tried giving nutes to young plants before and got same results,if your in 3.5 gal buckets(iam also)you should only have to water one time week (till they get bigger then 2 times)Over watering looks alot like under watering, but to me in most of those pics its nute stress back off and just try a light folier spray to bottom of leaves 1 time a week...i will be watching to see for improvments..good luck and happy growing!:-)...bong hits for everyone

thank you thank you. ya ive been cutting back on watering a little. ill water all 8 with 1 Liter of water at PH7 and i wont water for like 3 days and the soil is like bone dry. ill keep off the nutes for a little. i guess even 50% strength at their age is still too too much

Just use less nutrients and it won't be a problem.

Otherwise flush once before flowering. And again 3 weeks later. That should resolve most salt build up.

what snow said ..yup..lol and go for 6.5 PH much better 7 could cause nute lock(salt build up)no good yer real close nowand yer cfl'n it you could end up with this

To me, they look under watered. I'd pull the nutes back, saturate the soil and see where it gets you. Do you even get any run off when you water?

From what I gather, you should saturate the soil and allow to dry, saturate, dry and so on. If they were OVER watered they'd be really dark green, which it looks like your plants are on the opposite spectrum.

I am no expert whatsoever, just my observation :)

You didn't say if you were using tap water or not, but the problem with tap is anything over 200+ppm is hard water and cause nute lock out due to high salt levels and not alot of mag in it, so you could try adding a teaspoon of epsom salt per gallon of water (mix/stir in warm water in cup before adding to regular water) and see if that helps.

EDIT: also I notice that you have slight yellowing at the bottom of the plants so heres a tip I learned, if problems are at the bottom it wants something(or has lockout) and if the problem is more noticeable at the top it has to much of something.

i use crystal geyser bottled water.(mom hates it) lol

and all these tips are helpful. i appreciate it.

I water all the babies with 1 Liter of water TOTAL.

the soil (2 inches deep), stays wet for about 60 hours(2 1/2 days) then i apply 1 Liter again.

Ive yet to have water seep thru the holes at bottom but i figured the little clones roots dont need water to seep thru.

I guess ill water in bigger amounts less frequently. maybe 1.5 Liters every 5 days or so..
