Hello all. I've come a very long way to start my first crop and I'm finally here. After all the guerrilla grows every summer back east and all the reading on hydroponics I'm damn near ready to go to the store with a few grand and walk out ready to grow. I've decided on using four 4x4 flood tables with a 1000w HPS over each as my core system for flowering and a 4x4 ebb & flow with a 400 or 600 watt MH for vegging, mommas (when I have em) will chill in wick method setups. I will be growing on a two week rotation, harvesting one tray every cycle. My first few crops will be grown from clones purchased at a local dispensary; I've been lead to believe these will likely come ready rooted in rockwool, I'll be dropping the little cubes into pots of hydroclay so I can fertigate 24/7.
Here's where I get stupid; I cannot for the life of me decide if I should go for 32 plants in 6" containers or 16 plants with a square foot of freedom each. Having a foot of freedom will allow me to prune and train the plants using a ScrOG approach and reduce initial overhead (I'll be buying half the clones); whereas with half that space I won't be pruning at all. Worth mentioning; I have no limitations regarding height, and will be planting indica dominant strains. Which approach will result in the best yield?
I appreciate any input or constructive criticism regarding anything I have said, and thank you all in advance for your time and consideration.
