Love the skyscrapper pot!

Nice photography work, and they are coming along nice. Are you gonna flower with only the 250W CFL?

PS: I named my plants too, but was too shy to call em out on the internet. Emily, Tyler and Runt meet Miranda, Candy and Taylor.

xD It feels right to name them, if you ask me.
I might have to flower with just this light, but that depends on how much I get paid in the near future. I'll upgrade if I can.

Individual photos are becoming difficult to take - I can't really call them "babies" anymore.

Health report and questions:

They seem to be doing very well without my meddling for 2 days - they've recovered from my apparent over-watering =D. They may also be pre-flowering, but not enough for me to be sure yet. I've been prepared from the beginning for potential males, but I'm still going to be heartbroken when the time comes to kill them =( So early-as-possible sexing is a huge concern for me.

Also, their smell has engulfed my room and evolved from skunk to skunk/cheese, which makes me so happy to be sitting in 90% of the day.

The good aside, I am quite worried about a situation with an area Tyler's (tallest one) leaves:

IMG_20150509_211543.jpgIMG_20150509_211125.jpg
I clipped the two most-affected blades:
IMG_20150509_212156.jpg

It worries me because it is very localized; only a small area is affected, and I have a hard time believing it's heat or light burn because the affected leaves are low and hidden under the canopy. Any thoughts?

That's all for today!

3 weeks old

New growth
wtf are these? They don't look like leaves, nor do some of them look like preflowers (and it's got to be too early for that, anyway).

What is that tentacle thing on the right?

Aside from daily growth in size and stank, we are in the eye of the storm in terms of daily change. I am slowly continuing training to keep them from competing TOO much (although their bushiness isn't doing me any favors there!) I may build my cabinet and switch to 12/12 at the 1 month mark - All we need now is for the preflowers to show, and the males to be removed.

That's all for today!

Looks like she may have crab claws, and therefore a future pair of testicles and a death wish. Let's hope not. Too early to say.

Your plants are screaming. I am interested in seeing what will happen when you put them in flower.
They've already started to turn on each other heavily.
They are showing obvious nute def.
If they don't hermie I will roll up a J just for you bc that is a job well bloody done lol. Ill be watching.
GET THEM SUM NUTES if you havent lol.
they can bounce back but the root lock is going to be terrible once you hit flow.
Cheers!
Oh? What about them is suggesting deficiency? There are a few discoloration patches here and there, but it's not overtaking them by any means.
I've been nuting them with 4:2:3 very slowly for fear of burning them, since the soil was too hot for them in seedling stage. If the brown patches are indeed a manageable deficiency, which nute would you suggest is the culprit (and don't say "all of them")?

Def starts as discoloration. Noticed in the veins, on the leaf, etc. the entire plant should be about the same color so when you see random veins that are bright green on one leaf or branch it usually symbolizes a def, now on top of the fact that you have 3 plants 1 on pot, simple plant growing says they're going to fight for nutes, and i dont know how much you've added or whats in your soil by default, however just think about having to give ONE plant a proper feeding for it to grow correctly, now account for the fact you have 3 in one pot constantly fighting one another. when you hit flow, thats when the plant is really going to show you your def's.
I appreciate the effort, but please forgive me if I ignore all of your advice:

1) The random yellow birthmark is genetic, not nute deficiency (that's not even what any nute deficiency looks likes). Furthermore, even it looked like that, localized discoloration is NOT how nute deficiency manifests itself (when you have a protein deficiency, you don't lose one muscle at a time). Most deficiencies (if not all) affect the entire plant, or one symmetrical section (top nodes, stem, older leaves, etc) not one branch at a time.
2) I understand why 3 in 1 pot is inadvisable; but to suggest that they will be deficient as a result is logically flawed. In order for them to suffer deficiency, they would need to grow to an unsupportable size, which will not happen under these conditions. The only issue I will face with this 3-in-1 method is poor size, but NOT poor health (although that is possible for other reasons). The general concept is now of 1 bushy plant, not 3 separate ones.
3) Deficiency doesn't always start as discoloration - there are many, many different deficiencies to understand in this game; and if your understanding is "they looks sad, give them all tha nutes!", then I really feel sorry for your plants.

Your understanding of "simple plant growing" is quite shaky, my friend. I appreciate and accept advice, and will respond pleasantly when I should - but bad advise that is going to hurt my babies will be remorselessly rejected.

@Whorlwind hows your plants doing?
Thanks for asking =D
I finally ordered and set up my grow tent, bought a set of all the nutes I could ever need, and threw them into flower a few days ago.

However, I haven't had a phone since I stopped updating this, so I can't take photos. I have a shitty little webcam that can take photos, but I haven't really been encouraged enough to do so, due to other stuff going on in my life.

I WILL update this before they finish, possibly even soon.

Day 48, A few days into 12/12:
Chopped down Emily, as I finally confirmed her masculinity.
Tyler is definitely a female, and Runt is unconfirmed.

Been a while since I updated. I had to use my shitty webcam for these photos, since my phones been broken for some time. I'll get some photos of the other 2 in a minute.
That's all for today!

Health report:
They seem to be loving their new tent, as well as the nutes I've been giving them. Before both of these changes, (about a week ago) they had yellowing and wilting climbing up from the bottom, which was halted virtually entirely. I clipped, dried, grinded and added the dead leaves to the soil, which has actually led to a good amount of open space near the soil, making everything from watering to management much easier. However, I slightly nute-burnt the tips with a half-dose of my nutes (except CalMg, which I fed 3/4 of a dose because Tyler was exhibiting a Calcium deficiency).
I've been hand-training them multiple times a day, which involves me bending them and holding them where I want them to lean for a couple minutes. I do this for the main stem, as well as all the offshoot stems (of which there are like 15 now).
That's all for today.

Got a new phone, so I can take decent photos again =) Just need to figure out how to take close shots.

WP_20150613_003.jpg

It's impossible to count them without tagging them as I go, but by my estimates there are at least 20 substantial offshoots, and even more smaller ones that are also budding but are too small to poke their heads into the open air.
At this rate, I'm going to have 50 stems with bud sites by the end, that I can't imagine will be supportable. Can they hold themselves up under the weight of the bud they're growing? I think I'm going to good job of hand-training them to separate and not clump up.. but I don't think I can keep that up as they grow in number.

I'm basically working with conjoined twins here. I certainly won't be growing multiple plants in a single pot in the future xD

That's all for today!
