I threw this setup together with spare stuff laying around the house. I have 3 85w cfls, 2 of them are 5000k Full Spectrum lights, the other one which is the one on top is a 6700k light. On the sides I also have four 26w lights 3 of which are 6700k and one of the is 2700k. I used a shoe box and aluminum foil for the main top reflector. The total is 359w, I figured this would be good for one medium sized plant and allowing me to cover the sides and tops. I'm using the fox farm trio for nutes. This is a Nirvana seeds Bubblelicious feminized seed. The smell is becoming really sweet and fruity. I can't wait:weed:. Here are some pics:2013-04-24_17-12-33_463.jpg2013-04-24_17-12-40_403.jpg2013-04-24_17-12-46_697.jpg2013-04-24_17-12-53_780.jpg2013-04-24_17-13-05_717.jpg2013-04-24_17-13-12_346.jpg2013-04-24_17-13-17_926.jpg2013-04-24_17-13-22_630.jpg2013-04-24_17-13-26_733.jpg2013-04-24_17-13-31_690.jpg2013-04-24_17-13-36_465.jpg2013-04-24_17-13-43_745.jpg2013-04-24_17-14-18_463.jpg2013-04-24_17-14-36_538.jpg2013-04-24_17-14-47_175.jpg2013-04-24_17-15-33_25.jpg2013-04-24_17-15-39_349.jpg
I think she is doing great considering how cheap the setup is, I'm hoping for at least 2 ounces. What are your guesstimates on the final dry weight? Any criticism and advice is welcome. Thanks for reading!

looking great BBN8,there should be a good two oz on her,it doesnt look as though its too far into flowering so plenty of time to fill out.Bang on 4 a 1st grow, well done.

looks good but id suggest adding more 2700k lights since they love that spectrum when they are flowering also aluminum foil is really bad to use as it creates hot spots and kinda works like a magnifying glass, But hey it looks really good for a cheap set up.

I haven't noticed any hot spots as I was worried about it from reading on this board, I can touch the foil after the light being on all night and it's not hot at all.

If you crumple foil up b4 using it eliminates hot spots, same principal as a bought reflector, not that there will be too much heat coming from CFLs to cause problems.Did you use any suplement heating BBN8?

besides the fact that tin foil isn't exactly the best reflective material, cfl lights and tin foil haven't really got much chance of creating hot spots. use it away. and if you can get a better reflective surface. if not. no harm done.

Yeah I have a heater in my room for really cold nights, but those have came to an end. I have a little fan in there now.

Ive been thinking of using a few smaller lights rather than the one big one.will distribute light better.I think i would try to put a couple of better reflectors on those two 85w lights hanging down, those tin hats arnt reflecting much.I`d put reflectors on all of them, but thats me,its got to help.Looking great 4 now tho, keep the pics coming.

Yeah I figured those would be better than nothing. I might wrap the tin hats or w/e you wanna call them in foil to cover those slits, I'll see how that works lol. Anyway, I should have more pics later tonight when I go water her.

Sorry for not updating, I figured it would be better to wait a couple weeks so you could really see a difference. Here they are:IMG_0201.jpgIMG_0202.jpgIMG_0210.jpgIMG_0213.jpgIMG_0215.jpgIMG_0222.jpgIMG_0231.jpgIMG_0233.jpgIMG_0235.jpgIMG_0239.jpgIMG_0240.jpgIMG_0258.jpgIMG_0259.jpgIMG_0265.jpgIMG_0266.jpgIMG_0272.jpgIMG_0279.jpgIMG_0281.jpg
I think they are finishing week 5 or maybe even 6(I've kinda lost track). How much longer do you guys think? Thanks for reading!

Damn good for your first indoor bro! I'd say you have about 3 more weeks left! CFLs do the job no doubt, they just take a little bit longer to do it, as their light isn't that intense! Nice job in keeping them right on top of your lass tho!
My 2nd plant harvest was Nirvana "autoflowering" Bubblicious, but it didn't autoflower, so I ran it 12/12.
Yielded 2.75 ounces and flowered for 9 weeks(about 65 days).
I had the really skunky pheno. No sweet or Bubblegum in mine as all lol. And I've give the smoke maybe a 6/10 becuase it did get me high lol.
take away point for my terrible job drying and curing it, and I'll say it had the potential to be maybe 7/10 or 8/10.
I'm a HEAVY smoker tho, so I need strong meds to get me right lol

But in the end I think you'll be happy with your yield!

Looks great! I like your lighting rig too, adds a lot of nice side lighting in there. Can't wait to see it all finished.

Yeah I was thinking 2 or 3 more weeks. Mine is getting almost a sweet grape smell, its amazing. I'm getting pretty excited about harvesting, can't wait!

Yeah, I almost went with two plants instead of just the one, but I figured surrounding one plant with more light would give me more than two plants without much side light at all. I could be wrong about that though.

I think 2 plants with side lighting would be key. I'm trying to figure out some side lighting solutions for my setup right now. I made the mistake of putting all my lights above the plant. so all the tops look good but the lower stuff is not as plump. I'm only a week into flowering though.

in such a case you could try lollipopping next time. With CFL's they do not seem to penetrate far so letting the plant save it's energy for the uppermost buds seems to make sense.
I did mine this grow and the plants really took off soon afterwards.

Heres a quick update, nothing changed much. I plan on feeding it one more time this week and then just plain water till harvest, which I plan on being around the 30th. How much longer you guys think? I think its close to being ready maybe another couple days to a week.
