This is my first hydro grow, I got the idea from a video(from 420times- use to be a member there until they banned me for cursing some asshole off). Anyways I think I learned alot more since I joined this GREAT website. I Started off by cleaning out and sterlizing a 5 gallon compound bucket. Then I took a home made iced tea container made a bunch of holes in the bottom and filled it up with flat aquarium marbles. I also purchased a Airstone and a aquarium thermometer. I planted a germinated seed from some Kick ass bagseed,(only 5 seed out of a whole ounce I bought!) I planted on in the hydroponic system and the rest in soil. 4 days later and my little girl(I hope) looks great. Do you guys think my setup will work out for me? I need all the help I can get Im new in the water department. I dont know anything about everything, lol. Im suprized I pulled off buliding the damn thing. Thanks alot guys. And here are some pictures of my first Hydro Grow. Oh and I have my plant under a 100watt CFL. Wish me luck. All advice is helpful:mrgreen:

from what i've read on this site i think you should paint the outside of that bucket black so the roots dont see the light

yup 24c is fine.. i used black spray paint on mine, duct tape will work even better as it's thicker..

few notes if you get bored
i'd use expanded clay as it can hold oxygen - more oxygen will get to it and it'll give the plant something to bind against.. and it'll weigh a bit less so it won't crush the roots..

i noticed that once i changed the ph level to about 5.4ish it started growing even faster..
