First Harvest. Are they ready?

This is really my first successful grow. my first was indoors with makeshift boxes foiled up and cfl's. however, i was cleaning my grow area and moved my plants to the bathroom, inside the bath actually. the plants were still in veg stage. my wife has a yorkshire terrier dog and the little fooker had a ball with my plants...totally destroyed them. this after informing the household not to leave the bathroom door open. fell on deaf ears. somone did. the fooker got in and had me plants.

now this grow i started indoors end of may 2008 put seeds (Top 44 bought from weedfarmer Amsterdam.) moist tissue in a dark place. all 6 sprouted so i potted using soil bought from garden centre. having no lights i put them under the kitchen worktop lights and to my utter astonishment they just kept growing until they had to be moved as the cupboards above was going to be a problem. Being in the UK the weather was a problem. cold and wet and eventually we got some good weather and I was able to put the plants outside whilst they were still in the veg stage. They kept growing taller than i had expected and eventually started showing sex. I was crying when i had to cut down half of my crop but it was evident that there was 3 males the balls were bigger than mine. lol.
Now I've never taken a crop to harvest and think i need help. i have some photos attached here and think i have 2 plants near to harvest and one needing more of the sunlight to fatten the buds up. all of the plants show the THC crystals and the Trichome's turning more red with time. the tallest plant i think needs the sunlight to fatten buds and Trichome's are still kinda milky in colour but as i said. they all have the crystals. I would be obliged if you chaps could have a look and give me any advice. Are they Ready?....When will they be ready? Advice appreciated. seems we are having an indian summer so with luck that tall one will be able to mature further. TY in advance.

I used a digital camera and thought you would be able to zoom in. i can with the original photo's. you can see the colours better when you zoom in. i took some in macro mode so as to be clearer but dont seem to work on here.

check ur trichromes with a 40times magnifier and look at them, also you want more off your hairs to be brown......

I'd wait till fan leaves start turning yellow or orange, and the trichs are at 40% amber.
